BROOKES|Rowing - 2018 Men's Promo

Season Highlights:
Defending the Ladies Plate record, and setting a Fawley record in the process. Two BROOKES|Rowing crews made the final meaning the club effectively won the event on the Saturday- the first time this has ever happened.
-Winning the Head of the River Race in a dead heat, with three eights in the top 10 and 5 eights in the top 20.
-Beating both Oxford and Cambridge's Boat Race crews with our 1st 8, and their reserve crews with our 2nd 8.
-Setting the fastest non-national team British coxless four record of 5:53.31.
-Setting a new club record of 5:29.06 at Ratzeburg Regatta.
-Winning BUCS Regatta with the club's 2nd 8.

This video was great and the song really starts out very great, but man the song gets so jagged sounding and is so off tempo, i get that it’s in an offbeat style but it is offputting to this beautiful video you guys put together. Otherwise great video, totally motivating, makes me want to get on an erg right now. Again no hard feelings just kind of confused about part of the song. The rest of the song is really quite beautiful

Never understood the whole two starberd rigged set up. Never seen a boat with the same speed outclass a boat with the same speed rigged normal. There's gotta be science to this.

mrtoolegittoquit2 I remember hearing that that type of rigging is for someone who needs extra help following the person in front of them. One rower can copy the movement of the rower in front of them

@@nathanferm7111 na, these rowers look too polished for that mess. I've seen it in an Olympic race as well, but I know there's some science out there in defense somewhere online....can't find it though

Na, Nathan is correct, we use it in our crew. it's just so that you can put someone who struggles behind someone who is perhaps technically more advanced than them and they can try to copy them exactly rather than focus on someone on the other side if that makes sense @@mrtoolegittoquit2

Nathan ferm most of these guys will row in the national team, they don’t need any help with timing. I think it’s just because someone suits a seat but rows on the wrong side for the seat so they switch it.
