But man, those KZbin videos about the area are brutal.

Brooklyn has a population of 2,589,970 people. It is 69.5 square miles. The population of Brooklyn exceeds the population of the following states: Wyoming, Vermont, Alaska, South and North Dakota, Delaware, Rhode Island, Montana, Maine, New Hampshire, Hawaii, West Virginia, Idaho, Nebraska, New Mexico. Plus Washington D.C. Brooklyn is comprised of about 66 neighborhoods. Each neighborhood has a distinct business district, thus each neighborhood is essentially a town unto itself. Some neighborhoods have even more than one "high street". It is a borough of NYC but is often referred to as "the fourth largest city in the U.S.A."

@carnivore_caveman3 жыл бұрын
I hope it's not getting over developed by the wrong people, it's okay to have places be a little rough around the edges it gives the area character which can be ruined when they make everything so homogenized.
@amightysailingman3 жыл бұрын
@@carnivore_caveman Downtown Brooklyn and its surrounding area are getting dense with high-rise luxury condos and apartments. I miss the Brooklyn I grew up with, where for many decades the tallest building was the Williamsburg Savings Bank building, which you can see at 18:29 just right of center frame with the illuminated cupola and clock hands lit up in red, now converted into luxury condos. A good part of the blame is on Bruce Ratner for developing Atlantic Terminal shopping mall and Barclays Center stadium, which started a building boom that shows no signs of abating.
