I live in L.A. and the only east coast city that I have ever been too is Boston. But my dream is too visit NYC with my neighbor who is a native New Yorker, I would love too see the statue of liberty, the empire state building etc..My neighbor who is Irish/American and in his late 60s grew up in a area known as hell's kitchen ( which he said was primarily Irish). Hopefully I will be able to visit NYC soon.

The movie ," Looking for Mr. Goodbar" was written about the school teacher that was murdered in Brooklyn Heights back in 1973, even back in the day you could not walk after dark in Brooklyn Heights. Its a lonely spooky neighborhood,

You barely see the brown and black faces that made some of these neighborhoods what they are. Smh the gentrification in these places is horrible along with the displacement it causes.

I think the corner houses (at 1.11 in the video) is Loretta Castorini's family home in the movie Moonstruck!! There's even a line of dialogue in the movie about how it's actually quite large for a dwelling in New York. Can anyone confirm?
@Swanlord053 жыл бұрын
Yes you are correct..... I was there when the film was being made.... I. Personally saw Cher.... When they closed one of the streets off when they were filming her..... Cadman plaza

My wife (girlfriend then) used to live on Joralemon near Hicks in the early 1980's. A great place in those days. Good eats at J.B.Callahan's, Aesop's Fables, Circles Cafe, Simons sandwich shop and Capulets. Great stores like Key Foods and Bohacks (on Love Lane). Swimming at the St. George pool. Beautiful nights on the Promenade, over the BQE. It was a swell time to live in Brooklyn. Me??I was from Bay Ridge then.

I'm digging the tunes and I'm gettin jiggy with it over here...😁😁😁✌I'm a native born from the Bronx . Though it's been several years since I was there in the city and I live in the Southwest region ?? I keep telling fellow New Yorkers I meet out here , You can take the kid out of the city, but you can never take the city out of the kid. I'm an old man now 60 year old guy but hope to return home one day in the near future...and meet and hang out with some cool Fellow native New Yorkers young and old alike... Love to all you fellow Yankees there in the city. I lived in Salem Ma. In the early 80's worked in the Boston Burroughs like Chelsea , Revere Medford and Marblehead ,Lynn pretty much the cape Ann region North of Beantown, I found that Boston looks a lot like parts of N.Y.C. and seeing this video ?? Of Brooklyn?? I can see some clear similarities between the two cities. Anyway again great video from this New Yorker guy. Grazie and Buona notte.
