Good pod guys. Doug I agree with you that no other team would have given this type of haul. one positive Nets fans have to remember is the NBA landscape can change rapidly. when Houston traded Harden to Brooklyn the Nets draft picks didn't look to have much value at that time. however the best laid plans can slip off the tracks. I think Brooklyn is in a good rebuilding position. I do think you guys are right in saying Brooklyn needs as many dips into the draft as they can get because not all prospects will pan out. however even with the numbers picks Brooklyn has, turning a team arounnd in a 2 year window is still like trying to take off in a heavy plane on a short runway

They better be careful, and not be too bad, because that can discourage players not to want to stay around. The last thing you want is Cam Thomas wanting to leave. They have to be competitive and start at winning culture. Like they did before KD and them. This IS the time to let Claxton work on a post game in the paint.
@pimpnamedslickback7780

Ehh no offense to cam thomas but the guys at the top of this draft are far better than him just off of future ceiling. Like don't get me wrong cam is a good guy and he's a talented scorer but guys like ace bailey or cooper flagg could be future 1st options on a championship team. That's not cam.
@deerow2121
@deerow2121 3 ай бұрын
I hear your point. But if you pair Cam Thomas with one of those guys, you just mention, with Cam Thomas with a year or two more experience than he has now, which has gotten better every year since he’s been here he could be one of the more prolific scorer in the league at some point. Not to mention with Claxton. And he’s a home grown guy. If it happens it happens. I’m just saying it’s a bad look. If you win seven games next year and get blown out by 40 in every game. It’s not a good look It’s a long season. The locker room can start getting crazy. They still have to be very competitive, just my opinion.
@lawsantim2364
@lawsantim2364 3 ай бұрын
Hopefully Cam is smart enough to know that this is a temporary situation in order to set him and the team up with a much brighter future. I think most of the players will understand that. But I do agree that losing takes a toll on anyone. Hell, I don't know how I'm going to get through next season and I completely understand the assignment. It's just going to be different because when we won 12 games I rooted hard for a win everyday and felt each loss. Now I have to remind myself that it's for a good cause. Lol.

What exciting is that Marks Still has the players to go out and collect more assets. Cam Johnson, DFS, Dennis, and Bogs are all quality rotation players on a contending team. As free agency starts to dry up there are teams that really haven’t don’t much to improve their rosters. Lakers, Sac, Indiana, Denver. Marks will be in position to stack more assets if he chooses.

I just hope the Nets never go back to trading their future for a super team. They did it twice and both were disasters.They also need to try to get 2027 pick back from Houston because don’t expect to get a top 3 this year even if they tank. That’s Nets luck and a little conspiracy theory that the NBA does not want the Nets to win. Hope I’m wrong on that last one. So I think this rebuild will last at least 4 years.
