From Brooklyn Nine-Nine, the NBC series revolving around Jake Peralta (Andy Samberg), a New York City Police Department (NYPD) detective in Brooklyn's fictional 99th Precinct, who often comes into conflict with his commanding officer, the serious and stern Captain Raymond Holt (Andre Braugher). When Charles is supportive like during the Prank date where Jake fell in love with Amy and they pretended to be a fighting couple that’s where Charles is a good friend, but when he’s pushing them to become parents despite knowing their goals in life he’s an awful person and should be punched out by someone as strong as Terry. The fact Charles knows no personal boundaries has it’s limits.

I actually never hated the vulture because his character was so perfectly hatable but never triggered that loathing. Vultures chadness and making the 99 miserable is part of the humour that makes 99 funny. Kelly and Hawkin brought that loathing because their characters were never self owned like the vulture could easly do. I'd also add Debbie Fogle she was as welcome as a discussion of scully's medical history.

Gina deserves to be on this list, as in my opinion she is a great character used poorly. Gina works best in small doses, as a comedic side character. As a sympathetic main character, she doesn't compare to the others. Whenever I'm meant to feel sorry for her, I always think about how she treats everyone else. She's rude and condescending, she's trash at her job (they try to retcon/address this later, which didn't work), she abuses her position, and sexually harasses Terry to the point of actual assault. They should have kept her a side character, with a few comedic episodes following her.

Gina wins worst character. The problem I had with her was that she was NEVER WRONG IN A SITUATION. Be super obnoxious after her place was burgled? She's SCARED. Tells her mom and Charles dad to split? Her mom was cheating. Went behind Jake's back in high school to the popular kid? The kid was in a bad crowd and it was for Jake's sake! Never heard her say sorry in a way that wasn't sarcastic of admitting she was wrong.

If Charles deserves hate, so does Jake. He also has flaws. He always thinks he is/should be better at everything than everybody. Ex: Dillman episode when he blatantly condemns Boyle getting the task force job. In another, Gina offers to be his landlady and he threw her out without even considering.

Doug Judy should have been here. Can't stand him and his episodes are the ones I skip. He kept manipulating Jake by acting like his friend and he never had to face consequences for all the wrong he committed

boyle is a great character and i liked him, but i probably wouldn't like him in real life. he's sweet and well-intentioned but he has NO sense of boundaries or privacy

i really like ginas character when she isnt overdoing it- the fact that shes different to the other detectives made the show have more variation within the characters- not to mention she is hilarious. I get her whole thing with terry isnt right and it can go too far, also when she bullies amy i kinda wanna punch her since amys my fave- other than that shes a really funny person, she just works better im smaller doses. Charles can be kinda weird but i do like his character and i cant imagine the show without him
