We have owned these properties for years. My father in law owns 4 brownstones in the same neighborhood passed down, same block Jackie Robinson lived on. If you have no one to pass it down to or unable to afford the upkeep and taxes, they are lost. This is why we are so strongly against gentrification. They come and grab up those properties so quick fast

It’s a beautiful hole but I love I love I’m northern va and the Newley luxury townhomes are just like this even 4 levels, with more wiggle room and costs in the $800s . Is it because of the cost of living in NY? Because it’s definitely expensive living in a commonwealth

This home is beautiful. I lived growing up in Bed Stuy and Crooklyn is one of my favorite movies (the window doors reminded me of it lol). Black people, please do not sell your homes if you don’t need too, keep them in the family for generations. It’s sad to know that black people have sold their brownstones years and decades ago, and they now hold sooooo much value.

Correction* it’s a gut renovation and the facade ( brownstone) is brand new! All of the classic details were taken off hand restored and place back on! Very time consuming work!

Brit here. 3 years late to the party. I visited NY twice over the years. Love looking at brownstone properties from the outside. But watching online vids of these properties, I have to say, that is my favourite one ever. You did a beautiful job. I find it hard to believe it was only 3.5 mill. Love it.
