All those dots and lines on those papers go into their brains and then out their fingers and into those wooden things & bows, and comes out those and into my soul forever. I love when that happens

Dots and lines... how Morse. Dots and lines, ones and zeros... how binary. And yet, and yet - what does it give us? Music, life and magic!

Unreal interpretation- by far the brightest, most energetic and articulate performance of this I’ve watched. Would kill to see them do the 2nd movement

Long time ago, the Lindsay version of this piece rescued me out from a dark pit of despair. Last piece of music that could still reach me at the bottom of my black pit. I haven't listened to that much for a long time now, but it used to be etched onto my brain stem. I hear a lot of commonality in this performance. The same excellent articulation, but also somewhat more freedom of spirit, rather than that extra layer of stridency and astringency that Emerson choose to bring to the foreground. I like this version a lot.

A Bordeaux performance! Beautiful and robust. I would not have believed that such a small studio could produce such a profound performance. I did wonder for part of the video why the second violin had no sheet music. His low stand was finally revealed. A good joke I played upon myself. I will make it a point to listen to the entire suite.
