I was raised on Rural Route 2......in East Texas. Road the yellow dog to school until I bought my first truck at 16. It was all blacktop and grey dirt roads. It was were I drank my first beer, experienced my first kiss, and was looking for Jesus............this is so true. Jesus found me later......AMEN!!!! Pray that the future generations will experience this FREEDOM that daddy, patron of the greatest generation gave us. Thanks to Jesus and Dad.

Years ago RONNIE DUNN was tryin to become a preacher,but when the heads of church found out he was singing on stage in bars at night,they gave him 2 choices...sing or preach,but you cant do both.If ANY place needed the word of Jesus to be spread you think it would be a bar...but the church didnt see it that way...Anyhow you can guess what happened..Lol ! This song is my childhood. i remember when i was four years old, i was sitting with my father, and i was helping him build the top floor to our house. I had my little Home Depot hammer, and i was helping him put nails into the floor, and then this song came onto the big black radio we had, and my whole life up untill a year ago i could not remember what song this was, and the day i found it, it made me so happy.

My sister and I are now 27 and 28. This song came out when we were in the fourth grade. We were in love with it then and we still are to this day. It is TIMELESS. Even though country is pretty far down on our list of go-to music, songs like this are still just as relevant and important to us. This was such a great era of country music!

In real life I grew up on a red dirt road in the outskirts of Oklahoma this song was a song me and my mom would sing on the way to school. This song helped me a lot during middle school because I would be bullied for being different because I grew up fixing cars and climbing trees while everyone else would be doing there hair and caring how they looked. All I’d like to say is that this song helped me so much with anxiety and depression. Thank you for making this song.
