The Dixon’s backyard looks more like a campsite. Or a junkyard.

Christopher Blake starred in a late 70s early 80s sitcom called “Mixed Blessings”. He also starred in an 80s sitcom called “That’s My Boy”. He sadly passed away in December 2004, aged 55, due to Non Hodgkin Lymphoma disease.

The old tony Dixon played a good role soon as he left and mark lennock replaced him he was non existent wonder why that was he never hardly spoke a word compared to gerard bostock who was a loud prankster.

They replaced Gerard Bostock?! Such a shame. I originally watched Brookside from the mid 90s til the end. Heard a lot about Tony Dixon but had never seen him. Been watching older episodes for the first time and recently got up to the Dixons arrival. Tony makes me laugh in most of the episodes he appears in. Shame to hear that he is eventually recast and toned down. I'd have kept Bostock's version over Mike.

Really bizarre this idea of calling your husbands dad dad. Dd calling Ron's dad dad I mean Roger and heather did it with Roger's parents I think. I dont think wed do this today. I'm guessing this is an old_fashioned thing?

It is. I’ve seen old films and sitcoms with couples with their in-laws and they would refer to their father-in-law or mother-in-law as “Dad” or “Mum”.
