But I tend to migranes and ever since I realizd that this impulse purchase from my Portugal trip is basically saving my life I ignore the haters. EDIT: It might have literally saved my life since I wear them while driving. Boot the sunglasses. EDIT-- also, I was born in the 70s but I know that's the decade that poppers became huge in the gay community. Also, yes, Provincetown is super fucking fun! I went there with a group of friends for a week a few years ago and it was a blast and I met some great new friends there I'm still in touch with! I highly recommend it!

Did they have poppers in the 80's? Yes! I am over 60 and the first time I encountered poppers was as a teen in the mid/late 70's, though I didn't know they were for sex then. I think they were first used recreationally sometime in the mid to late 60's.

Poppers were used a lot in Queer as Folk, both the original Russell T Davies and the US remake (the first one, not the new one). I wouldn't be surprised if they're in other RTD shows, but I can't remember if they were used in It's a Sin. Completely unrelated but every time I read "Bros" I automatically pronounce it "bross" like the 80s band.

When I finally saw this, I was glad to not have spent money at the theaters to view the film. It was cringey awful. We saw a preview of this movie and when the scene of the three guys in bed together squealing about their "throuple" every straight man and women did a mass cringe and the theater was filled with "gross! Eeeew! YUCK!!!" That image might appeal to gay guys, but that's a very small demographic to base a movie's success on.
