This time we try a whole new concept with the Wii U. In this gameplay, Aleks and James play through some Mario levels while Trevor is tasked with placing blocks using the gamepad to either help or hinder them.

A booster buddy is supposed to help you as designated by Nintendo. It's how the game was designed to be played. Imagine how boring this game would be if trevor actually helped them. They could have skipped over obstacles just using his blocks finishing the level in seconds. Also, if it is not obvious then there is absolutely no satisfaction from completing these levels. As soon as you complete a level you are just pushed to the next level until you ultimately face a "boss" which is needless to say not a boss at all as it dies in few hits. Lastly, what makes Mario Maker games and Mario games in general so good is that it punishes bad players. I know this is not supposed to be a rage inducing game necessarily but just a continue for losing all your lives? Seriously? James said "Oh no you got a continue damn", but that was only because James put that condition on the table, which is why I said that only they can make such good content out of such a bad game. Any other player would have been like, oh whatever, there is consequence so I can die as many times as possible. And, honestly, that's how I feel like Aleks feels. It's clear that he does not feel as invested and just wants to get it over with. Compared to the lovers in space where he actually involved himself so much into the game play here he doesn't really care about the lives he is losing, and why should he? Hopefully, that was a good enough explanation.
