GoW deserved most other trophies definitely, but when it came to which one was a better game over all, personably at least I leaned towards elden ring. God of war did however have the most emotional moment I‘ve ever experienced in gaming.

@subwooferz I agree the graphics and environment are great, and people like the cute cat, but personally: - Best debut indie should go to Neon White, Tunic, or Vampire Survivors. The first two absolutely excel in gameplay, music, and art, while Vampire Survivors completely redefined and innovated in its genre. - Best indie could easily go to every other choice, as they are all phenomenal games that I think have the edge over Stray. Personal pick is Neon White. Imo, Stray is lacking in gameplay and content, and I feel as though it's overrated because it's a game set in a dystopian setting where you play as a cute cat.

I love how people are spreading misinformation on how Genshin wins when the company itself has no involvement in the votes, no bribing, no actual confirmation on the rewards until they won the award. It was all on people's merits and the Sonic community triggering the Genshin Community. At one point sonic was winning, until they started trashing Genshin for no reason. That triggered the Genshin Community to start voting and judging by how big Genshin is, they have lots of players to vote for.

It has nothing to do with being salty It's Just 2018 again Just This time Rdr2 is Ragnarök and Er is Gow2018 but oh well gotta go back to Elden ring and visit the 1000th same looking catacomb and refight the 100 godskin apostole reskins. Not a fan of souls type combat where you roll around and spam one attack I prefer being able to do long combo strings; but from videos I’ve seen Elden Ring is absolutely gorgeous, I’m glad it won GOTY. Surprised Genshin didn’t win best mobile game because of its huge popularity. Best adaptation I feel would’ve been so difficult to pick; Edgerunners and Arcane were both amazing.

Elden Ring was amazing. I went from not even knowing it existed to seeing it for the first time and proceeding to go out and buy it on release day at Walmart. That's very rare for me to be motivated or enticed by something to want it and actually go buy it. They worked real hard on the game and it shows, they nailed it.

Music should've gone to Xenoblade 3. The amount of time and detail they put into each track making like 5 versions of each to make flawless transitions during gameplay is just unbeatable. It's just that the god of war and elden ring community are very biased (great games don't get me wrong) so they won most of the awards which kinda pisses me off
