This is a perfect game to watch Jon play, if you love his lack of perception. Skipping over every good bit of gear, Spending silly amounts on things he doesn't need. Loud is such a strong character, it hides a lot of those tough plays.

Stick build for baby is amazing, sticks scale damage on how many sticks you are carrying! Baby quickly outscales damage output with sticks as it one shots everything very quickly.

Most important tip for this game, the first two shops are guaranteed to always have two weapons. So roll aggressively to get your loadout started. The next four always have at least one weapon, after that it's fully random.

Jon the wave 1 & 2 shops are guaranteed to always have 2 weapons when you reroll. This is the best time to look for weapons. Weapons, items, and characters have hidden tags on them. You're more likely to find an item if it's one of your characters tags. Buying a weapon will add it's tags to your character which will make you find more items with those tags but also possibly cause you to find less items for the tags you already have. Loud has the more enemies tag so he's more likely to find gentle aliens and mice than other characters.

I just played this game for 7 hours thanks to this video. Baby is SOOOO fun. I beat the setting John was playing by using a mass wrench build. Had like 7 tier III turrets and then some with a bunch of melee and shotguns for backup. They variety of builds and strategies the game offers is AMAZING!

My favourite run for Baby is going nothing but sticks for weapons. Each stick you own increases damage by +4/6/8/10 depending on upgrade of the stick. With 24 sticks you can get an extra 240 base damage if all of them are upgraded.

i have quite a few hours in this game, here are the moments that made me say out loud "Jon.... please...." 7:26 - Jon didn't lock the one item vast majority of characters want to take, which is more trees. they give you health or a chance to get an item for free (and with the factor it's free firepower with extra turrets) 9:10 - Jon didn't another item that you want nearly every time - this time the -5% coupon for items 14:40 - Jon not getting lemonade 18:50 - this time a sigh of relief! Jon has taken the more trees item! and by the end of the video, seeing Jon buy the bait i said out loud "you're dead next wave Jon" and then Jon died! :D i hope you don't take this as mean spirited, i'm a long time fan and adore your videos

There are a few settings in the options that are useful. One lets you display the rarity colors of your weapons. Useful to see what level your weapons are without having to use the pause menu. Also there is a one that highlights enemy projectiles. Makes it easier to spot the enemy fireballs when the screen is crowded.

To be honest, unless you have an elemental character snowball often only nets you 4-8 more elemental damage. So its not worth taking unless you are dedicating yourself to a full elemental build.

@Cryten0 It's not just 4-8 more elemental. With strange book it's 4-8 elemental and engineering. Your turrets get the secondary effects from items like sausage and bandana so extra element is significant when you start getting turrets. You also have nail and frozen heart which add engineering and elemental scaling to weapons.

Jon's -1 perception strikes again. Not taking coupon or glasses is painful, especially in the early rounds. Still prefer Vampire Survivors to this. Better maps, characters, weapons and progression

If you want some good gameplay help watch a video by Dex on brotato. I would suggest you go for the 20-30 minute ones as the longer ones are for breaking the game. His main thing is to roll even if you can't buy things as you can look for something better to lock for the next round. Also the DLC includes cursing things so they are even more powerful.

Ghost weapons work well on baby since every 20 kills with an axe scales your damage by 1%, every flint kill scaled attack spped, and every ghost septre shot scales health. A small number of ghost weapons to scale them efficiently, followed by other weapons is probably the way to go.
