I received my 1503 a few weeks ago and it is gorgeous...really nice CF scales. Expecting the 1507 in a few days....but sent back the 1505 due to side to side play...(Amazon).

I have the 1503, 1505, and 1507. The 1507 is the best yet, not that there's much wrong with the others. The front bolsters are tapered (pinched?) on this model, which corrects the rather lumpy aesthetic on the 1503/5. As you observed, build quality which wouldn't look out of place on a knife costing five times the price. And the shield is pinned, not glued.

Quite unlikely. I have a table full of folding conventional knives, never once did I feel a blade had too much play in a line such as this, even if the rig saw rough service.
