Hi Therina, No the 423d does not do a coverstitch, however it does a flatlock stitch.

Yes it has got an electronic foot control, so the speed is very controllable no matter what thickness you are overlocking

Could you please explain where you put your threads after threading the lower and upper looper

Hi, We would recommend pulling the thread end about 2" - 3" out from the eye of the looper. Then lay the thread ends under the presser foot.

How to you add the thread for the others? Also can you use this for straight stitching, I also do not see any tension dials, so how do you just this?

You can not sew a straight stitch like a regular sewing machine. Yes they have tensions if you ever did need to adjust them.

Hi Christine, Moving the thread changer lever from L to R, sets the automatic needle threader to thread the Left needle or the Right needle

No it's really not hard to use. For most people the threading of the loppers takes more time than threading a sewing machine. But once threaded you it's breeze to use.

I would like to say this was useful, but actually, it wasn’t. The film is so low-res it is BLURRED. The operative’s hands get in the way of the camera at some very important points - for example when she blithely says ‘pull 15cms to the back of the needles and her hand is conveniently hiding the fact that you have to manually tilt up the presser foot to do that. For an absolute beginner watching this video, this is quite simply appalling. And will you please LOSE THE AWFUL MUSIC.
