it was such BS that critics gave this amazing movie bad reviews cause this movie was teaching the meaning of forgiveness and what brotherhood means

Family isn't necessarily who shares your DNA but who you choose to love and love you back. As I listen to the song, I thank my adoptive parents who took a broken, wounded boy into their lives and transformed him into a good educated young man they know me today.

I like how the people who are singing this song represent the perspective of the characters during the Salmon Run scene. The Blind Boys of Alabama are represented by all the bears in the salmon run, they are letting Kenai know that every bear is WELCOME to join their party and feel right at home. And then it switches to Phil Collins, representing Kenai, that he is starting to feel comfortable around the bears and feel like he is where he belongs. Throughout the entire movie, Kenai has been so anxious to turn back into human and go home, but as Kenai continues to explore the Salmon Run, he realizes he already is home. Because when it gets to the shot where Kenai pops out of the water, observes all the bears and smiles, you can tell on the look on his face he no longer sees the bears as monsters but as family.

Such a shame movies like Brother Bear are getting forgotten. Hell this movie was made the year I was born.

What I love about this song is that it has a good rhythm and it teaches Kenai about the life of a bear from an amazing point of view.

This is the last song I listened to with my dog King before he passed away. He was a black Labrador Retriever. He wasn't a pet. He was my brother. Rest in peace King.

I accidentally made my aunt cry with this song. I asked people to share a song that makes them think of me and I would do the same back. I sent her this and she lost it. Apparently, she had never seen the movie, so I assume she looked at the lyrics in a different way. Not gonna lie, trying to see it though her eyes now, I feel a little weepy myself.

Man, Brother Bear's soundtrack hits differently during the pandemic. I choked up a bit hearing this song and I usually don't.

Came here in part because I love this song so much, but to also to wonder what the heck these Disney podcast hosts I listen to were thinking when they said they’d wished Phil Collins had sang all the songs himself. I like Collins a lot, but not even he could bring the natural warmth this group does, making it feel like a song you’d actually hear at a family reunion instead of another Phil Collins song. I dunno, personally I’m just glad they went this route is all.
