Could it be not just 1 person but a few people? I saw few movies (and even some real cases in the US) where a group of girls will gang up to bully/threaten someone. So I was guessing it could be someone who felt that Kim has stolen/flirted with her BF who then gather some of her friends. Then then came out to Kim's house and forced her to follow them to that secluded area. They may think that they wanted to "teach her a lesson" but one of them (maybe the GF of Kim's admirer or one of her friends that was with them that night) suddenly stabbed her. They all then provide each other with an alibi, that's why the police never caught the killer.

My thoughts: It was a female classmate, maybe even a friend. That friend might have been interested in a boy, but the boy liked Kim. Maybe this was why Kim dumped her ex? @CandiceGoddard Жыл бұрын
I agree with this to an extent. I do think it's a love triangle but I think it's more likely that the murderess fancied Kim's ex boyfriend or was an ex of his, but even though they had broken up, for their own reasons, the ex boyfriend was still in love with Kim and hoping to reconcile so he rejected the murderess' advances. She pretended to be a friend to Kim or maybe study partner and then came over to her house and called Kim out pretending she needed to talk desperately. She then led Kim up to the woods and whilst talking, just stabbed her suddenly. Kim died as the murderess watched and then she stabbed her a couple more times out of hatred. The motive was to get the boyfriend. As evidence for my theory, I offer the murder of Sherri Rasmussen by a police woman called Stephanie Lazarus. Look it up. Another case that it could be is if the murderess was in love with Kim herself through something like erotomania, a mental illness. She might have killed Kim because she couldn't have her. I think this is possible because the woman used a knife which is phallic so the stabbing was sexual hence the strong thrusts. Also women don't usually kill with knives, they prefer poison or other methods that aren't directly violent or bloody. I'm not saying it's not possible. It is. I'm just saying it's less usual for a woman to kill like this so it shows that on top of being capable of murder she is also an atypical murderer. Either way they should see who tried to get with the boyfriend after the murder. If the motive was sexual then even if the killer was a lesbian who fancied Kim, she might have tried to have sex with her ex since he had had sex with Kim so it's like an indirect kiss.
@CandiceGoddard Жыл бұрын
@@NarkisaSofiaGki Well your thoughts are prejudiced and ignorant. The person's opinion has a basis in reality and even if it's a crime drama, authors of dramas and other fiction do research into real events because the basis of good fiction is believability. To make the viewer or reader suspend their disbelief. That's why most fiction and even mythology, folklore, fairy tales and superstitions can be traced back to facts or explained logically. It's just that there are a lot of very ignorant and closed minded people who don't comprehend how imagination works. As a woman, I can say that other women really can be the absolute worst sometimes. The two-faced bs that goes on, especially amongst people you’ve known for YEARS sometimes, is just heartbreaking. I’ve had coworkers, acquaintances, & actual FRIENDS, who I’d always assumed liked me, or at least didn’t NOT like me, who were just sweet as pie to my face, only to find out they’d spent years spewing venomous gossip about me to anyone who’d listen. It always hurts, and it always feels like such a betrayal. I can definitely imagine her having a female acquaintance or friend, who maybe stopped by pretending she was upset about something, needed a friend’s shoulder to cry on, & asked SunHee to take a walk with her so they could chat w/o her family listening in. SunHee probably didn’t think twice, just threw on a coat & shoes, never imagining her “friend” had any ill intentions towards her. I certainly wouldn’t; even after growing up experiencing betrayal at the hands of other women, it’s still your natural instinct to TRUST them, & want to help the ones you consider friends. She was probably shocked senseless when her friend suddenly lashed out and stabbed her, her mind still not wanting to think “this is an intentional, malicious act”. I hope it was quick enough that she didn’t have much, or any, time to dwell on what really happened. It hurts so much when you realize your “friendship” was one-sided the whole time.

This! I think something like this is what happened. Men are more likely to destructively violent towards others, men and women both, but nothing is worse than the two-faced, beyond mean-spirited psychological warfare that women wage against other women. I swear I'm at the point I have finally conceded that it's impossible to work peacefully in an environment that is majority women. In some cases a female boss can be enough too. The fakeness and relentless mean gossip, passive aggressiveness and bullying is unbearable.

I hate to admit it but I absolutely agree. This is frankly one of the reasons why I have an easier time making friends with men than with women. What makes me wonder the most is the fact that there's no phone records, messages, anything. How did they manage to meet? Did Kim say "oh come to my house at 6am"?? That's odd, right? Why so early in the morning too? The other person clearly knew where she lived and speaking from experience I don't tell anyone where I live unless they're close friends. Or if she lived close to college I guess some people might know where you live from seeing you get home. And what Grace said about the mom not being at home and that person knowing that just makes it even worse. It can't be someone that wasn't close to her imo, there's specific info an acquaintance wouldn't know... and for Kim to follow that person even if they showed up uninvented to her house, I don't believe it's a stalker, she trusted them. It's just so weird how there's a lot of missing pieces... Edit: Also the fact that she was in her pjs could prove that she wasn't expecting guests and just threw a jacket on

I really prefer crime & thriller contents like this w/c is not so long, filled with facts and less talk. At first, I really thought it was a family member or a very close friend because it happened early in the morning and she only had her PJs on, with no cellphone or wallet with her. Then it was later said that her family and friends were cleared by the police, still I suspect that someone she knows and trusts did that to her. Maybe a colleague living close to her or a friendly neighbor because the person definitely planned everything so well. She (assuming the victim's brother was right) knows when the parents leave and arrive the house, where to conduct the plan and what time she'll do it. If it's a class-free day and someone wakes me up early morning, I'd be really pissed. But if it happens to be someone I know and sounded like in need, I'd wake up and accomodate her. Maybe, the victim thought it was really important and urgent so she didn't mind bringing her phone and wallet with her. It happened in February so its still cold in Korea but she only wore her jacket and ordinary shoes so I assume she believed its something quick and nearby. Its terrifying to think that the person is still out there. I hope she hasn't had any other victims and I pray justice will be served to the poor girl and her family.

When they mentioned the height, my first thought was that it must be a woman. Whether friend or not, I think that also might be a reason for why she had her guard down and didn't defend herself. It's easier for a woman to be suspicious or cautious around a man than around another woman. As for the hypnosis; I do agree that we probably remember a lot more things than we think/know we do, and I do think that hypnosis might be a way to bring out these memories. But at the same time, I can absolutely see why it's a bad idea to use it as a tool in a murder investigation. If done incorrectly, it can implant false memories instead of bringing out actual real memories. I don't think I need to explain why this would be a problem. The way I see it, hypnosis is like a lie detector in the sense that it can do a lot of good if done correctly, but at the same time it can do a lot of bad if done incorrectly, whether deliberately or otherwise. That margin of error just makes it too much of an unreliable tool, I think.

I think jealousy theory makes most sense to me.i think it was a female who had secret animosity towards Kim but from outside that person pretended to be friendly with her.did some stalking and research on kim and her family activities so she knew that when her family members are at home and when they are not.Then when she knew no one is at Kim's home.no witnesses at home,that Kim is probably alone.then she disguised as a friend visited kim and took her for a friendly walk around the woods and when no one was around she took Kim by surprise.

Your theory makes sense, ig Kim was thinkinh'g she's going in a walk with her friend that's why there is no fighting back signs cause she knew this person and trusted her

Can't imagine that the culprit is roaming free. I hope they would catch culprit soon. Hey, can you do a video on the case of arushi talwar? It is unsolved.

When I was in high school, one of my friends secretly hated me. She pretended to be nice to me to my face, but tried to get me in trouble with the teacher and classmate, when I found out and asked her disappointed why was she doing all that? She told me that I was nice to her but it was bad with her crush for having rejected his love confessions several times.

My theory: I don’t think she just “agreed” to go on this hike into the forest. I believe she knew her killer, which is why she went outside with those shoes and pj’s thinking that they would have a chat outside and then she’d go back into her house afterwards. Once she went outside, at some point the person threatened her somehow or did something (negative) to convince her to leave and walk with them while dressed like that. They also had to have known that spot they were leading Kim to. Leaving the body exposed and the weapon right there shows the lack of care or remorse even if the area was known to be “off trail”. I also think it was a female like most of you are saying.

Something is not right and this will sound crazy af but hear me out. I suspect the killer and Kim may be more than friends, this may explain why she dumped her ex-bf so casually (or easily). Until this day, many South Koreans still have negative opinions towards queer people, now imagine how it was 20 years ago. It is not uncommon in Asian culture for female students to engage in a secret relationship with another female student, they're "queer" until they graduate, and then they resume a hetero lifestyle. This is influenced by many things that just make sense in Asian culture, this includes arts, poems/literature, history, etc. Now, I'm using the word queer very loosely because historically Asians in ancient times explored their sexual needs and desires like the Romans (emperors x male bodyguards, queens x handmaidens/personal servants, or wives of wealthy husbands when they were away, etc) and this was only considered abnormal when westerners brought Jesus with them to Asia. Maybe the killer wanted them to be public, or at least to Kim's (possibly conservative/religious) family. Kim was a great student and potentially had a very bright future for her after graduation, being out could really damage her future and her relationship with her parents. She may have been very stressed from trying to do well in school, to build her future, this may or may not have been contributed by her parent's occupation. In Asian cultures, kids will naturally have the responsibility to provide for their families when they have a job. So keep your head down, study hard, work hard, no play, and look after your parents. Most Asian parents have a bad habit of trying to one-up other parents in terms of how well their kids are doing in their adulthoods. Maybe Kim was worried that her parents would "lose face", idk - it's a thing in Asia. The killer seemed to know her parents' schedule, so perhaps Kim told the killer about her dad being on night shift and her mum would leave early for Church. That may explain why she left in just her PJ because she wanted to be quick and didn't want to be seen together with the killer. The killer was someone she trusted explicitly, someone she believed wholeheartedly would not harm her. They discussed their relationship, had disagreements, and Kim had valid reasons why she did not want to go public. Perhaps the killer gave her an ultimatum, an ultimatum that the killer herself has a solution for based on her soon-to-be victim's answer. Kim end up picking her future and family, and her secret lover did not like that. Without any warning, she stabbed Kim in one swift movement, probably when Kim was in mid-sentence. She probably practised that many times before meeting up with her victim. Hate and love are just two words for passion, she loved her so much she did not want to end their relationship, she probably had tears down her face when she stabbed her for the first time. That feeling of sadness from losing her soon turned into rejection, disappointment, and hatred. So she stabbed her multiple times around her upper body and tossed away her murder weapon in an emotional fit that's why it was just there out in the open.

Or a female friend who confessed and was rejected, afraid maybe she might tell someone she killed her
@Arcessitor Жыл бұрын
That does sound crazy. There's no reason for her to kill her in that instance. If it quacks like a duck, it's most likely a duck. I.e. a jealous girl.

From the moment you mentioned there was no sa attempt i thought of a girl.... it just has to be someone who knows her and to whom an issue got personal. She knew her address, she knew her parents wouldn't be home. She def threatened her with the knife, that's why she couldn't put her shoes on and went outside barefoot... The reason though, might be because of a boy like someone said, or simply because she was popular, good at school and pretty. She "had it all" too much to be bearable.

Honestly as soon as you said she was pretty, popular and a lot of guys confessed to her, my mind instantly went to it was a female. Even more so after finding out she went out with PJ’s and formal shoes, which means she didn’t care what she looked like and comfortable enough around that person. Honestly I don’t think it’s a college classmate but someone from the local area that she knew….perhaps an old high acquaintance and someone who would’ve been familiar with the area.

I think it’s one of her close friends.. because she met her and went with her to hike. Maybe there’s a secret that Kim knows and that friend was so scared that she will tell it ,something like that, so she killed her.

@skeletonflower5252 Жыл бұрын
It has to be someone she is familiar with and comfortable enough to walk with on her own without letting anyone know where she is. It's someone small and obviously a woman because of the height the fact that no woman is going to go out in her pjs and walk with a male by herself like that. It has to be hatred or jealousy that is buried deep within it could very well be her closest friend you really never know

I remember a girl hated me because I was friends with her ex's friend. So it's like if her ex was A and her ex's friend was B, she hated me because I was friends with B even when I was not friends with A. We were at high school so the only thing she could do to harm me was to spread rumors about me. So maybe in this case someone like that did the crime

We've seen wayyyy too many cases of jealousy murders for me to personally believe that it is entirely possible that was the motivation here, especially because of Kim's age and presumably the age of all of her acquaintances + her murderer
