Brother Innov-is NV880e - Not Enough Memory Embroidery machine

A quick video about how I get around my machine telling me "there's not enough memory" when there isn't anything on the machine 😅

Use this link to download and install the latest software for the Innovis 880E.
Doing this update removed the need for me to do this work around.

Thank you SO much! I just bought a NQ1700E yesterday. The first pattern I tried from a usb had this same problem. Ready to tear my hair out because every other pattern worked. I did what you suggested in the end of your video and it WORKED!!! THANK YOU!!!!!

My sister and I have purchased this machine for our small business, we find this a great companion to the 6 thread machine. We also use memory sticks for our 1000s and 1000s of designs. Fantastic Machine.

Genius! I have just bought this machine as a replacement for a previous Brother machine and never had the problem before. I thought it was a problem with how the purchased pattern had been digitised but your method has worked. Brilliant- you’ve stopped me throwing the machine out of the window!

No problem! Don't forget to software update your machine as well. That should sort the problem out permanently

I think brother are aware of it, a person a in a Facebook I queried the issue in said her dealer spoke to brother and they were working on a system update for it? Who knows how long that will take😅

Awesome! Don't forget to update your machine software to the latest one as well. Usually they should have worked out this particular bug in a software update 😊

Thank you. I think it's a small hiccup in the digitizing, as I experienced the same, started digitizing from scratch again and I didn't have that problem anymore.( I'm using the 30 day free trial from Bernina embroidery 8 atm for digitzing) . But this is much easier, so I will definitely use this hack if it happens again.

I have just updated my machine and it works fine. It only happened with certain files (literally only this one). Works normally now.

If you plan to do a lot of embroidery, best to keep them separate. 😊

I think it might be worth contacting brother directly for notification on when they'll be updating the machine software to combat this. I'm haven't had anymore issues since but it's still something that I have to be aware of.
