Listened to the recording of Dock Boggs and came up with this little version of the tune. #oldtimebanjo #banjomusic #music #banjo

my brother was a fantastic banjo player and recently passed away it’s really cool to see that banjo is still being learned by younger people i feel like i don’t see a whole lot of people picking anymore.

A proud picker I am, I’m sorry for your loss I hope to see more folks in their younger years playing music I think it’s slowly returning

Awesome playing. I've been considering bringing my banjo to work and playing on my lunch like this too haha.

It’s good when you don’t have too much time after work some days are busier than others tho. Helps if it’s a tough day at work too

Good stuff, you should try learning Wild Bill jones by dock boggs too. Pretty simple, I learned it in a day.

That and cripple creek were my first songs learned actually, Docks version of that tune is simple with some great variations to throw in

To be fair, not all of California is like the coast. I've been to lots of small towns in the Sierra Nevada mountains that would almost make you think you're in Appalachia (I'm from Virginia). Many parts of California are completely detached from places like L.A, San Fran, or San Deigo. It doesn't even feel like the same state when you're driving through the central/northern parts of California.
