What a character Murtagh, I really love him. His inconditional loyalty to Jamie is admirable and his love for him and later his tenderness for Claire. Murtagh is some very special human being. That's why Outlander is so great, the characters in it are loving and passionate human beings, even those who hate or think only in fighting or taking advantage are so well developed and performed. I love that you highlighted Murtagh! He truly watched over Jamie like a father to his son. It was beautiful to see all that he did for Jamie. Heartbreaking as well, in that this is how he carried out his unrequited love for Jamie's mother. I have a lump in my throat.

I love Murtagh and call him Blind Loyalty because he is blind to everything except his loyalty to Jamie(Claire too). So nice to see a video with these two and Duncan plays Murtagh so well.

All these characters are as phenomenal in the tv series as they are in Diana Gabaldon’s books. I believe this is one of the best tv series I’ve ever watched. The only one that comes close is “Lonesome Dove” by Larry McMurtry, and that’s because I’m from Texas and my Dad was a cowboy and the two main characters had so many ways of speaking and traits that he exhibited.

Murtagh is very cute ... lol! He and Jamie have a complicity that becomes supernatural. It's amazing how, between Sam and Cait, the chemistry between Sam and Duncan is complete.
