Brother printer HL-2130 Toner reset

1. Open the front cover and leave open while completing the following steps.
2. Turn the printer off.
3. Hold the 'go' button while turning the printer on. All panel lights should be on.
4. Release the 'go' button.
5. Press the 'go' button 2 times.
6. Pause.
7. Press the 'go' button 5 times.
8. The toner light should be off.
9. The paper light should be on or flashing.
10. Close cover. The ready light should be the only light on.
11. Turn the Printer off and on again

The printer was a bit complicated to hook up kzbin.infoUgkxciSwynMJ7PnUvvx11rewiu-yFBkZTl53 but it does the job very efficiently. I like the ink wells versus the ink cartages that cost an arm and a leg. It prints quickly and the quality is excellent. It shuts off when not in use, so you have to remember to turn it on. Overall, it exceeds my expectations. I'll update my review in a couple of months.

I've used this method a couple of times and it works every time! Just add at the end to turn off printer and turn back on again, otherwise my computer thinks the printer is not connected.

Great ! Could follow the video without understanding the words ! What worked for me was: 1. Turn off and Open cartridge cover 2. Hold Go button down while power on 3. when all lights are displaying, press Go button twice 4. after a few seconds press Go button 5 times 5. Wait for Ready light to be constant green and only light displaying. 6 Turn off printer 7 Turn back on

Bravo Rifat pour le nombre de gens que vous avez ainsi dépannés ! Comme l’indique mon précédent commentaire, dans un premier temps j’ai bien pu venir à bout du témoin du toner. Il ne me restait plus que le témoin ‘Ready’ mais je n’arrivais plus à imprimer, si ce n’est des pages de test. Dans ce cas, je propose aux intéressés cette recette de cuisine que j’ai découverte alors que j’avais déjà désespéré. Peut-être qu’une partie est inutile, mais je n’analyse pas davantage ! 0) Hypothèse de départ : vous avez réussi à éteindre le témoin ‘Toner’. 1) Chercher d’autres vidéos, et apprendre notamment qu’en plus de la cartouche on peut également réinitialiser le tambour, aussi en jouant avec l’interrupteur et le bouton ‘Go’, de manière plus simple : ouverture du capot, pression prolongée sur ‘Go’ pour allumer tous les témoins, fermeture du capot. 2) Dès ce moment, lorsque vous ressayez d’imprimer, le PC vous dit que l’imprimante est hors connexion (ou : non active) !! Tiens tiens, rien à voir, Brother vous ferait des représailles pour avoir tenté de bricoler, vous dites-vous ?! :-) 3) Désespérer, laisser l’imprimante allumée, mettre le PC en veille et aller prendre votre repas. 4) Aller faire une sieste. A force de rester en veille sans alimentation secteur, votre PC portable se met en veille prolongée car la batterie a déjà quelques années d'âge. 5) Vous remettre au PC. Windows vous demande forcément votre mot de passe avant de restituer votre travail comme il était. Et juste après, ô miracle ! Vous entendez votre imprimante faire son bruit de fonctionnement caractéristique. Elle s’est donc reconnectée, comme une grande. 6) La dernière impression que vous avez tentée juste avant l’étape 3 sort. L’imprimante fonctionne à nouveau ! P.S. : Attention, le .pdf que j’ai suggéré en lien tout à l’heure contient un click de différence par rapport à la marche à suivre de Rifat.

I had inserted the new toner and even got two prints, when I just watched this video, then I reinstalled the old original toner with the power off (the one that came with the printer when I bought it and it was supposed to be empty)to do what the video says, but...GUESS WHAT? I didn't have to reset the printer. It worked as if it were the new toner. A lot of copies again!!!

Hi, I have the brother HL-L2310D a newer model and it did NOT work for me. It only works on the older models it seems (I had one long time ago and this guide worked for that one). But I found a solution that worked for mine. It is a little different. How you do it: 1 Press and Hold the Power button until the machine turns off 2 Open the Toner Door 3 Press and Hold the Go button until step 5 4 Press the Power button 5 Release the Go button when the Toner, Paper, and Drum lights are lit 6 Press the Go button 9 times 7 Wait for the Toner, Paper, and Drum lights to be lit 8 Press the Go button 5 times 9 Close the Toner Door Hope it works for everyone else who couldn't get it to work through this guide. Thanks for the tutorial though Rifat kardes :)
