Whenever you face the problem of getting a Light, faint or Dull print in Brother printer's, then you must watch this video once. Because we have easily solved this cartridge problem. That was its doctor blade problem. Which when we opened it, the blade of the ink was badly frozen due to which the ink could not come on the roller.

I completely replaced my toner and drum because it was printing very very faintly but it's still printing the same way even with a brand new brother toner and drum. What could be the issue? Please help!

I recommend that you clean the printer's laser unit.

Question: my brother laser printer is brand new out of the box and prints like a cheap $20 photocopy instead of a laser printer and no shine to the image either. Yes laser mode is on also.

@@santidiazm what I did was to reset the laser or printer or test settings. I can't remember which one because I am not at the office anymore but its one of the options on your screen in 'tools' I think. They allow you to continue to retest until the ink prints clear

According to this video these problems persist even after the blade is cleaned, then you need to change the blade or clean the laser unit or replace the drum.

In my brother 7535dw printer always showing SLIDE THE GREEN TAB DRUM UNIT is showing when i open it still same msg is display if i do anything no other option shows cartridge remove, front cover open not shows oply slide green tab is showing. perhaps my drum unit is new i just printer aroung 5000 prints..on my drum lines are showing what should i do ??? plze reply

The message 'Drum Error, Slide the Green Tab on the Drum Unit' will appear when the drum unit is dirty or has reached the end of its life and needs to be replaced.
