I agree with both of you on the subject. Their old stuff was good for what it was at the time, but I can always go back to it and re-listen. But artists always have an opportunity to grow and make better stuff. I always go back to their song “One Last Look at the Damage” and Ruby’s verse always stuck out to me hearing the new material they’ve dropped “as the years go by, the same drugs used to be fun but now become a problem.”

I’m right with y’all on this take mane, whenever people are hating on the “New $B” I feel like they’re hating because the subject matter is *slightly* more positive and all they want is more depressing, hopeless feeling songs that the boy$ made when they were going through it like pre- 2020, but they’ve changed and gotten better ALONG SIDE their music both lyrically and production-wise. Don’t get me wrong tho, their old music is still amazing but a slightly different vibe
