Carl Jackson's musical career began in childhood. At the age of 14 he was invited to play banjo for Jim and Jesse and the Virginia Boys, one of the most respected bluegrass bands at that time. After five years with Jim and Jesse, Jackson tested the musical waters elsewhere before landing a job with Glen Campbell. Jackson remained in Campbell's band for 12 years. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carl_Jackson

Thank you Sirs. I admire the strumming & the harmony in the blending of voices & the words in this praise gospel song. The rare raw talent in your group singing is masculinely amazingly awesomely divine. Praise the Lord. Lyrics: There's a little mountain church in my thoughts of yesterday Where friends and family gathered for the Lord. There an old fashioned preacher taught the straight and narrow way for what a few coins the congregation could afford. Dressed in all our Sunday best We sat on pews of solid oak And I remember how our voices filled the air. How mama sounded like an angel on those high soprano notes When the roll is called up yonder I'll be there. Looking back now to that little mountain church house Has become my life's cornerstone. It was there in that little mountain church house I first heard the word I've based my life upon. At the all day Sunday singings and dinner on the ground many were the souls that were revived. While the brothers and the sisters who had gone on to gloryland slept in peace in the maple grove nearby Looking back now to that little mountain church house Has become my life's cornerstone. It was there in that little mountain church house I first heard the word I based my life upon. Looking back now to that little mountain church house Has become my life's cornerstone It was there in that little mountain church house I first heard the word I based my life upon.
