I agree; Joe became such a figurehead for Andy in such a short time. I thought it was almost refreshing to see Andy be a brat because he is just so normal and funny in just about every other episode. This was realistic for me. He was always used to Joe coming through for them he just couldn't imagine any alternative version of events--very childlike and real.

Andy may have been only 7, but he was beyond being a brat. Once they gently explained the deal, then once he continued to act the fool, they needed to put him in his place & even discipline him if need be. I know I would've done it in a minute.

I disagree. Being 7 years old doesn't make it okay. Once they explained it & he continued to act the fool, it was time for telling him to calm down or else "because I said so" and even spanking him if he doesn't. He's the child, Claire's the parent, as the child you do as you're told it doesn't matter how you feel or what you think--get in line and march as you're told to march.
