FS101 & FS155 Brother Sewing Machine | Tutorial

I found this video to be very helpful in learning about the functions of this machine, and I thought this was one of the better ones I’ve seen that explain how to use the machine. The camera angles are not blocked by your hands which makes it very easy to see what you’re doing. Even though there is no speech, the demo was vdery clear as the close ups provide great visuals. Thank you for a really informative video!

Just for anyone who wants to know there is actually another way to thread the bobbins! basically as you can see the bobbin has the little hole onto of it, and with that you grab the thread and thread it from the inside out so that you can hole the thread. Once u do that u put it on the bobbin shaft and click it over and YOU HOLD YOUR THREAD as you press the pedal and once its wrapped enough thread around that it holds onto the bobbin u can cut the thread which you were holding and keep spinning the bobbin until its done :)

My needle threader seem not to be working. I just watched your process and realised my double hook does not move towards the needle fully so I cannot even pass the thread in between it . I wonder if it came broken. Update...it worked yeeaahhh. I skipped an initial step while using it for the first time, aftervwhich you can skip this part...pressing the needle up and down button in order to adjust the needle position so that the line on the handwheel will be aligned with the line that runs across the middle/centre of the sewing machine. Works like magic. I only noticed the characters are too small and do not come very clear. Almost like a caricature of characters. I wonder if anyone uses them, really or am I doing something wrong?

Hi. To sew the alphabets, it's a fixed size and you cannot adjust to a larger size, and we advised you to use low speed to get a nice stitch result.

@@BrotherMYHandyCreations I love my brother FS155 sewing machine. Yes the slow speed is the best. Also, the monogramming comes out perfect on light cotton fabrics but anything thicker or stretchy does not work. I have a question, can I oil the machine during my routine cleaning and maintenance? If yes, at what parts? Looking forward to hearing from you. Cheers.

In order to prevent damaging your machine, it must not be oiled by the user. If problems occur, such as difficulty turning the handwheel or unusual noise, immediately stop the machine and contact the nearest Brother Authorized Service Center.
