You'd be surprised to learn that vocalist Asami knew nothing of Iron Maiden or any other metal acts prior to being invited to try out for LOVEBITES. She had studied dance for years, primarily ballet, and had begun singing R&B in clubs, as well as backup vocals for other acts, when she was noticed and approached for the LOVEBITES position. I am not much of a metal fan myself, but LOVEBITES became my new favorite band over the course of 2023, and I now have my ticket for their first ever US show in Atlanta this September!

"Set the World on Fire" is another good thrash track there are 60 plus excellent track with different types of metal "Swan Song" with the Chopin intro is a must see The live shows are the ones to enjoy. The "Wolfpack" will be here to guide you on yr way. "Judgement Day" "Stand and Deliver" and " a Soldier stands Solitary" and all the rest. There are zero bad tracks. The Japanese metal/rock scene is incredible. so many elite muscians. Lovebies is the most talented metal band I've heard in 5 decades of listening to all the big boys. In terms of musicianship they are, with few exceptions, without peers. 2 of the best guitarists on the planet. Dive deeper, they just get more impressive.

Welcome to LOVEBITES 🤘🏼🐺🔥 Here some information about them: The band was formed in 2016 by original bassist Miho and drummer Haruna. Their first EP and album came out in 2017. So far LOVEBITES have released 4 albums, some Singles/EPs and also a bunch of DVD/Blu-ray live recordings. Back in 2018/2019 LOVEBITES have already toured in Europe, including appearances at the major metal festivals as Wacken, Download, Bloodstock, Graspop. In 2018 they also won the Metal Hammer UK Golden Gods Award for best new band. Then came covid, their original bass player and founder Miho quit the band for personal reasons and two babies were born. After a break LOVEBITES came back with new bassist Fami and new song „Judgement Day“ in late 2022. A new album with the same title came out in February 2023. This year in June LOVEBITES‘ first world tour starts in Europe. In September they will play their biggest headline show ever in Tokyo. Hi don't suppose you know where i can find tge interview Fami did (not sure if it's face reveal on her channel, announcing her joining LOVEBITES, which can't now find) talking about 4th Album recorded during BeerBug(fake Flu) all done by Miyako including the bass parts then sent to other members to do their parts. Fami was saying since already completed Miyako went back and wrote parts for Fami to do like the couple of intros we have heard in Stand and Deliver etc. Fami was saying Miyako eyc went out of their way to make her feel included (especially with that finished album) when they didn't have to. Making more work for themselves. Be greatful if you can send title of video or know where i can find if ypu know video im talking about. Went back over video in fami channel and something not the same. Also went thro cpl interviews on Japanese TV with eng-sub but again no. And not on rock fujiama which i thought was where I'd seen it. Any ideas?

It makes them special....you bet they are. Insanely talented petite musicians who wear their femininity proudly but turn into metal goddesses on stage in gowns and heels. They have taken many influences even classical music as Miyako (brown guitar is a classical trained pianist who self taught the guitar at 18). Midori the other bada$$ on guitar dropped out of college at 20 to attend a prestigious music school for guitar. They are known as the M&M show and almost every song shows off the harmonizing guitars along with great duels. Asami/vocals never sang metal till she joined the band,(she is a R&B/Jazz/Soul background)

Thanks so much for reacting to amazing Lovebites and spreading the word because they deserve more recognition. These women are extremely talented, skillful and extraordinary musicians. Their main influences are Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Helloween, Metallica, Slayer, Angra, Deep Purple, Yngwie Malmsteen, Gary Moore, etc., but they have been developing their own and unique style. Those twin lead guitar solos by Midori and Miyako are already legendary, in just seven years. Asami used to sing R&B, soul and jazz before she joined the band. Miyako (black hair guitarist) is also a concert level classical pianist. Their live performances are just outstanding. My recommendations are “The hammer of wrath”, “Judgement day”, “Set the world on fire”, “Thunder vengeance”, “Break the wall”, “Shadowmaker”, “Winds of Transylvania”, “When destinies align”, “MDO”, “Raise some hell” (all live)

Thanks for your reaction. Asami (lead vocals) listened to Alicia Keys and Aretha Franklin a lot.😊 For 16 years (starting at the age of two) she studied classical ballet. After classical ballet, Asami took up dancing.Asami became a professional singer much later and “had no idea what metal was”. To fully understand and appreciate LOVEBITES one must check out at least 15 - 20 of their original songs. I suggest checking out 'Dystopia Symphony' which was born under the influence of classical music. A famous music critic called 'Dystopia Symphony' a "neoclassical nightmare". Or (and) check out the songs: 'Paranoia', 'Dissonance', 'Winds of Transylvania', 'Thunder Vengeance'. I think you will have other associations.

I love this band. I first discovered Bandmaid, and that led me to Loveites. I was not a big heavy metal fan, but they are now my favorite band (just ahead of Bandmaid). These uber-talented ladies cover several subgenres of metal. For a true masterpiece check out A Frozen Serenade live. For a heavy duty thrash song with two very different guitar soloes check out Break The Wall live from Zepp Divercity Tokyo. But in all honesty you can pick any song and not go wrong. Lots of suggestions in the comments already. Enjoy the journey.

Thanks for reacting to LOVEBITES. They're mostly power and thrash metal, but like nearly every band and group out there, they touch of a handful of other genres and subgenres. As you can see, their instrumentalists have put in a lot of time practicing the right ways. The bass guitarist you see here, Miho, left the band in August 2021 -to have my baby- for unknown reasons. Now a young lady called Fami is playing bass for LB and doing a damn good job of it. Great band, but the fanbase can be _just_ a bit more hyperbolic and argumentative than the usual fanbase. As for the song, I always love to hear the ladies blast this one, but one thought I can't escape from is that the song sounds almost exactly like "Wolf and Raven" by Sonata Arctica. I'm not suggesting anything nefarious, but the similarities are uncanny.

You are correct, Asami is singing in English. The two guiarists are very complementary - Miyako (dark hair, Dean guitar) is more of a blues-based player, while Midori (blonde hair, ESP guitar) is more classically-trained (on guitar; Miyako is classically-trained on piano) and is the more technical shredder. While vocalist Asami is often compared to Bruce Dickenson and Ronnie James Dio, she didn't train with their vocals in mind. In fact, LOVEBITES is her first metal band. She is trained in R&B, Soul and Gospel. Those disciplines have a lot in common with the theatrical/quasi-operatic styles of Bruce and RJD. As far as genres go, the best genre to put them in is simply heavy metal. Power/symphonic metal is the style more of their songs fit in than any other, but they have several songs that are thrash, several that are traditional NWOBHM-style metal, and a few that are prog. So I just call them a metal band, no other qualifiers needed.

Yes sir that was English, all Lovebites songs are sung in English. They are primarily power metal but they have many thrash metal songs and incorporate that style into their power metal songs which gives them a heavier sound than your typical power metal band. That's why they are far more appealing. Next up, a thrash song, The Hammer of Wrath, Break the Wall, or Set the World on Fire.

Welcome to the Wolfpack, Lovebites is seriously one of the most impressive bands in the world. I’m looking forward to hopefully seeing them here in the United States this year next year. Every single member that band is a virtuoso in their own, right, and I really recommend almost everything they play. I would honestly suggest going either heavier, or more progressive. For heavier, I would go raise some hell, live, or stand and deliver (shoot ‘em down) (MV) To see them stretch their wings, I would choose Swan Song with the Chopin intro, or frozen serenade. If you’re looking for a song Similar to Holy War I recommend Judgement Day or Shadowmaker. They also play a lot of thrashier songs if you want that sound Hammer of Wrath or Set the World on Fire are excellent choices. All live versions of course

off the bat. they said Maiden, this is Maiden. the music is far from maiden. Maiden is not this fast and heavy. to me, the only thing that distinguishes LB from Maiden is the dual guitar. you can tell, these guys have been rehearsing what to say. also, i’m sure they searched and listened to LB prior to reacting. but we will never know if they are coming in blind. it seems suspicious they knew exactly what to say and say exactly what everyone said from they’re reactions to LB.
