This vid of Sinister Smiles in my mind is where Dany’s vocals turned a corner. Then the release of Choke she hit even another level and just keeps getting even better!

Ale’s falsetto is what makes this song special

There's a whole lot that makes Sinister Smiles special, but that falsetto is most certainly one of them!

As much as I love gorgeous Ale, you can say the falsetto part it’s all because the way of sing of Dany it’s marvelous, that’s why you can say it’s only something!!

Dany's vocals are great and I love how you can really hear Ale's falsetto in the acoustic setting.

Well guys, there is talent and then there is these 3 girls who take talent to the next level! If they don't win multiple Grammy's very soon then something is wrong...well actually something is wrong with what "the industry" considers talent for damn sure....do not watch that "popularity contest" crap anyway, has little to do with talent IMHO!! Whether they do or not, who cares. We all know what talent is and here it is right in front of us. Thanks Glenn and Adrian for the continued support of these young Ladies who just keep bringing us great music...one after another. ⚡⚡⚡⚡

I always love watching the reactions of Pau & Ale when Dany comes in late in the one section on Red Hands. They recover without even the slightest of recognition that anything happened that wasn't supposed to. Absolute phenoms!!!❤❤❤

Ale's falsetto just crushes. You can really see it in the acoustic, but speaking more generally they hit these slightly dissonant harmonies all the time in so many of their songs and it's essentially a very signature move. If you hear like 1/2 second of a The Warning harmony using these just 'off-tone' harmonies you'll instantly know it's The Warning. For all the music nerds out there, there are small tone variations in every scale that give it nuance and lend it to related non-8-note scales (like all the 7-note scales of Western history or 6 note scales of Eastern history). When you add dissonance in just the right way you essentially conjure a reference to a scale wherein the note relationships are best done slightly differently than in classical or chromatic music. How they figured this out or who taught them this, I do not know, but they've done it consistently in every album at some point; Almost anytime there is a harmony there will be semitone variations of other scales. Subtly, this is a major part of their appeal IMO.

All these acoustics are so awesome. Their just so musically connected . I normally don't like acoustics from rock bands but totally different with these ladies. This is a once in a generation band. I'm so glad I stumbled on these girls five years ago from a referral from a RUSH fan. Man I wish I would have kept his name so I could thank him. Love your reactions Men!! Mike from Boston here. One of the older members of the TWA. Thank God I lived long enough to watch them from little killer girl rockers to young adult killer rockers⚡️⚡️⚡️

Hey Glenn and Adrian, what can I say, I'm an Ale fan boy :o) There, I admit it. Here it is obvious the talent she has and you can clearly hear the falsettos - she does immaculate things in the background.

Just like the old MTV Unplugged days! 🙂 Thanks for doing these. You're correct that it's easier to pick up on certain nuances when they're unplugged. Pretty good songwriting on Sinister Smiles to come up with those separate vocal lines at the end - no doubt that takes some concentration to pull off.

I love this acoustic session. If possible, would you consider listening to Pau's cover of "Creep" by Radiohead. During the pandemic, Pau asked her Instagram followers which song they wanted her to cover. Several hours later, this was the result. The video is available on this platform and make sure you watch until the very end.

Ale doesn't want to be a lead vocalist. She's a fantastic backup vocalist and we need let her be. She has 2 world class singers in her 2 big sisters. That's enough even if we don't like it.

I think they write good hooks, and that's probably the strongest thing about the band. I think I prefer them acoustically. Even if I'm not the biggest fan of their overall sound, they do have that key ingredient that can make them successful.

❤DPA

Hi guys!.... Great reactions to The Warning's acoustic set... I recommend a collaboration of Pau with other Mexican musicians during Covid... Abraham Bustos (Plastiko) guitar and voice, Fear (Allison) guitar, Charly Felix (Pressive) and Pau (The Warning) drums.... 🤘😎🤘

MTV should bring back their Unplugged show just for them. Have you seen their acoustic version of Que Mas Queires from a radio station? Or Money from another radio station interview where Pau sang lead? Or Martirio from a TV show in Monterrey?
