That's been pointed out, I wonder if it's intentional. Yes is one of the least obvious influences they would seem to have. I was an enormous Yes fan prior to 90125.

I think it is more a statement on our addiction to technology (like our phones) and social media, making us blind to everything going on around us. At the end the guy took the proverbial “leap of faith” to go on without his connection to the internet, and survived. This MV deserves millions more views.

The building jump represents jumping into something that scares you, outside of your comfort zone, and finding out it doesn't destroy you.

Bingo. So many people get hung up on the jumper surviving. It is a metaphor for leaving the fake world and waking up to join the real world. That leap of faith to join the real world is a common story telling/filmmaking theme. It is also a religious/talmudic/old testament reference to angels/watchers/Nephilim who decide to join humanity by, "falling" to earth.

First time I'm watching you guys, nice reaction! I see you've done two versions of Disciple, which shares themes with this one, in that we're all online and being manipulated, somethimes subtlely and sometimes overtly. Other songs of theirs in this vein include Z, Kool Aid Kids, Error, and Revenant (do this one after the others); I know I'm missing some in that list.

Congratulations! i always wonder how many others notice the number on the indoctrination pod the baby is placed into... many of us think it may be a shout out to YES and their 1983 album _"90125"_ which was released two years after Yes broke up... you can find a few links to that album in its entirety... not really a music video as it is only the music but you can also find OMVs for some of the songs on that album... the OMV for the first song on that YES album also has a similar theme as this video with "culprits" and "recovery agents"... the video and whole album is a great trip back in time... so back to this original video by DPA/TW... yes, the imagery is awesome and extremely thought provoking... there's a lot being said in there... one of the main things is about taking a leap of faith and leaving things behind... this is absolutely a track about social media, technology, and how they affect people in ways they don't know or understand... in this case, everyone is so wrapped up in their devices and social media that they cannot see what is going on around them... thus the blindfolds... notice, too, the colors used... when someone takes their blindfold off, the world lights up in the prettier colors of reality... the video was nominated for and won numerous awards back in 2017... - LA CINEFEST Semifinalist 2017 - Feel The Reel IFF, Audience Award October 2017 - Official Selection Austin Music Video Festival 2017 - Best Music Video Nominee Pantalla de Cristal Festival 2017 - I Filmmaker International Film Festival Official Selection 2017 - Best Script / Narrative Music Videos Pantalla de Cristal Festival 2017 - Best Music Video Around Films International Film Festival Barcelona April 2017 (not listed in any specific order) anyway, great reaction... yes, you're not the only one to be totally shocked at that one point in the video! 😹 TWA ⚡🤘😸🤘⚡ TWA

As you may know this is the first song and title track for this album. As Pau said at the 2017 TedX presentation, this and the rest of the songs talk about their concerns about the world they were born into as the new generation and the 21st century blood. XXI Century Blood is such a good song. As you said Dani is playing real complicated riffs while singing without missing a beat. In between song they're very casual. Compared to their other concerts now they're much more focused between songs. Having an audience instead of mirrors would help focusing lol. These young women's personalities really shine between songs so hopefully they keep putting these informal sessions as they get older

This is one of many examples of reacting to the music video rather than reacting to the song. If you want to react to a song, then you should watch/listen to the lyric video. Remember that most of the time, music videos are the director's vision and interpretation. Not the artist who wrote the song.
