This is an absolutely artful video. There are many things that I would love to shout out, but the two that kept popping in my mind were: Your framing and depth of field show the subjects and environment in the most engaging and powerful ways I have ever seen in videos. Your attention to the sounds and sights of nature, and including them in the videos truly make it feel like the viewers are right there with you. Add to that the wonderful relationship shown between two brothers and this is the most peaceful and enjoyable 15 minutes of video that can be found. Have you ever considered a "tips for wilderness videography" type of video? Or a camera gear review? Thanks for sharing, Max.

Hey there!! Isn't it a fantastic name for the feeling? It stuck with me ever since I came across it. :) "We stand upon the brink of a precipice. We peer into the abyss-we grow sick and dizzy. Our first impulse is to shrink away from the danger. Unaccountably we remain... it is but a thought, although a fearful one, and one which chills the very marrow of our bones with the fierceness of the delight of its horror. It is merely the idea of what would be our sensations during the sweeping precipitancy of a fall from such a height... for this very cause do we now the most vividly desire it."

Love the videography of the birds and animals and hearing the sounds of nature as well. The colors of nature are so beautiful, like they are mixed and matched by the hand of a master artist! But no artist can match the artistry of God! Growing up, our family canoed the rivers in the Ozarks of Missouri. So I love your river trips! Course we didnt canoe rivers with the higher class rapids, class 2 was about our highest. We also did a couple of boundary water canoe trips. As kids we wanted to go to Disney Land but our vacations were always into the wilderness as Dad wanted and now I’m so grateful for those trips, they brought me into an awareness of the incredible beauty of God’s creation. And the joys of simple living.

Such beautiful words, Cindy. Thank you for sharing a bit of your story. One of the most enjoyable trips I've ever done was just North of Boundary Waters in Quetico. 10 days of not seeing another soul in the most beautiful pristine nature. Only the occasional far away sound of an airplane as a reminder of what millennium we were in (well, I suppose our nylon gear as well haha). Such a shame I didn't film videos back then - would be so nice to look back on that trip. I am due for a return! Many lakes left unpaddled! Thanks again, Cindy. Cheers!

I call it the "high mountain magnet" that is pulling me off the edge. I must resist if I want to see more. I love the Mergansers. I see them often in the sierra of California.

Gorgeous trip. I greatly enjoy your thoughts and philosophizing when you’re in nature . You’re wise. Imp of the perverse. I hear that voice too.

Thanks! Glad the thoughts and talking aren't too much - I never want it to get in the way of the images. Cheers

Thank you, Kit. I checked out your channel and my wife asked me to mention that she greatly enjoyed your playing - she is a big fan of piano music - Chopin particularly. Thank you again!

Great stuff! You should consider organizing guided tours. :) I wouldn't dare to do this alone but I'd pay good money to go on a trip like this with a guide. :)

Thanks Andras! I appreciate that suggestion. It has definitely crossed my mind before though I am so busy trying to pump out videos and other life things at the moment it is hard to consider.

You’re so lucky you live near all this beauty. So much wildlife. That porcupine was so cute! With the addition of all this white water canoeing, would you consider a spray deck, or is it not needed for class 1 and 2s? Take care, buddy!
@maximbudnick Жыл бұрын
Hello, Allison! It's not necessary for smaller rapids, but I've certainly wished I had one on trips like my last. It's on the long list of "things I have to buy". One day! Thanks for stopping by and glad you liked the porcupine - I also love them - they have such charismatic and gentle looking faces. Cheers!

Dude thank you!!!!! I’ve been trying to figure out what bird that is for years!!!! I always described it as mystical… especially if it’s a foggy morning! But yes reverb and a slap delay or something haha

haha no problem brother. Try using the merlin bird app. The sound recognition is unbelievable.
