That video gives a good understanding of how loud the elevator is. Needs some black UHMW plastic in key spots. The 3 most slippery thing known to man. LOL. . Also shows the difference in rotten wood and sound wood going through the splitter.. and the obvious amount of junk with the more rotten wood.

I just love seeing this processor running. I am still planning on taking taking my processor back to Michigan to get it refurbished in April or may would love to show up at your wood yard and do some wood with you and you could do a side by side comparison of 2 different firewood processors. After watching you on the Eastman processor I realiy like the idea of a seat hope they add that for me. I hope to see you in the spring of 2023 and split some wood I am retired now this is all I do now is wood and love it

Chris I think you are doing a great job with the processor. It's one of those things I wish I could see if I could run. It would probably be a disaster, though. When logger Al stops by I think he has a great technique for cutting the cookies. He cuts the cookie, leaves the table up then opens the escape hatch, and lowers the table. That dude is amazing, seems like he's always doing at least two things at once.

Another aspect of y.t. video that you have mastered. The ratio of talking to subject coverage. A lot ! of woodyard video makers really really enjoy verbalizing . To the extent that it becomes monotonous and even arduous. But you Keep the ratio of yakking to video just right. I don't think that most woodyarders watch their own videos , post production. Brevity during Mic. time is their friend. That's where you Excell. That's one of the reasons we keep tuning in. Unless.of course a teaching moment or discovery comes up , Yeah then the mic. becomes essential or you are interviewing others. Have you been to broadcasting school? Thanks for doing the extra it takes to provide entertaining vids.

Got two observations…most of your round feeding problems into the ram shute is caused by the ram not being retracted all the way after a split And your last log feeding. Maybe put the table up, feed the last round onto the table, then drop the table for the round to drop straight. Hope it helps and love your channel. I’ll get back to my chair now.
@InTheWoodyard2 жыл бұрын
Good tips, thanks for watching!

I agree that raising the table for that last piece might help feed the piece in flatter and reduce clogging the ram spot. ✔️ Worth trying.

Did the math. For the cost of the Japa 365 Road version, can get a Range-Road EcoPro300 with live deck amd a mini-ex to load the logs and have money left over for a dump trailer. Seems like a good plan, but the Range-Road is a light-duty machine and can't force it like the 22MB processor, nor the yet to be picked up Wolfe Ridge 28C that I ordered. Best to stick with saws and the splitter for a while, but keep an eye on the goal of a processor!

I'd be tempted to not doing any resplits with the processor. Because you hand stack all the wood and the Ultra is so fast I'd let all the bigger pieces go. The time spent on each resplit on the processor is probably a fair bit more than what it takes on the Ultra. I'm amazed at how well the rollers get logs to stand on their end :O
@InTheWoodyard2 жыл бұрын
Yup, the rollers work great most of the time.
@grabow39582 жыл бұрын
OK someone has to say it, that processer seems to give widely varying split sizes and quality. It mutilates more wood than it produces in the correct size range. Seems like it is oversized for the wood you are running and geared more to boiler wood.

Yup, it is for making wood fast and the right wedge needs to be on it, I am still learning about it.
