I am an American and 70 years old. I have fished my whole life and most of that fly fishing and in many parts of that world. I am shocked this heaven still exists and it must be protected at all costs. It would be a catastrophe and an ecological crime if these waters were dammed. Your documentary is heart warming and humbling.

The Una, The one, a truly rare pearl on this planet should be promoted as an UNESCO World Heritage Site. It can't be said and done enough to protect this wonder of nature. Hopefully there's an awakening due this worldwide pandemic upside down world we're all facing in 2020 that nature is our origin but not money. Thank you so much for this outstanding documentary. Remarkable done!

I hope you don’t do the same as what we have done to are Scottish rivers, farm fish has nearly finished off are west coast rivers, I blame are government When I was younger it would be easy to catch dozen sea trout in a night, and catch 20 salmon for the week if we had plenty of rain, now you’re lucky to catch 2 sea trout and a salmon for the week. Only dam that have part worked in Scotland is on the river Tummel at Pitlochry, I don’t really agree with no dams on rivers, rivers should be left alone and man should not touch them, man has done enough damage to the world.

Unfortunately the power of money is always stronger than the strongest flowing river. This diamond of nature may not be lost to some kind of criminal investors only interested in making money. The Una is the Nr. 1 and should stay Nr. 1. It must stay as it is now. Thank you for this extraordinary beautiful film. I will sure visit next year. Greetings and tight lines from the Čech Republic 🇨🇿.

This was an extraordinary documentary and I don't think there's a more beautiful river anywhere in the world, like UNA! My prayer is that you can stop the construction and I have UNA on my bucket list of places to travel and fly fish someday. Keep fighting and I believe you will prevail...

I was born 48 years ago on the banks of the river Una. I was raised to guard the river Una, and that's how I raise my children and their children. NO ONE WILL EVER BUILD A SINGLE HYDRO POWER PLANT ON THE UNA RIVER!!!! The 200,000 of us who were born and live by the river Una will not allow that. All other well-intentioned people of the world are WELCOME to enjoy the beauty of the Una River.

On a fly fishing road trip to Slovenia and Croatia in 2009, I crossed the border near Nebljusi to see the Una. I had already fished the Sava Bohinjka, Sora and Curak Creek with varying degrees of success. I never got to fish the Una. I didn't have the time. But I seen it. The memory of that visit has stayed in my mind so many years later, as the river I have always wanted to cast a line onto. Not necessarily to catch a fish, but to simply, be there. I dearly hope it stays the same, and provides future generations with the same magical memories as me.

Three weeks ago I had the pleasure of returning to Bosnia for the first time in 40 years. I had a blast as I went, among other things, fly fishing in Una National Park. It was nothing short of phantastic! What a true wonder of nature that definitely, at all means, needs to be protected! I'll be back, for sure.

Free flowing rivers are the veins of the planet. All fishermen know that many forms of life, including our own, cannot survive without the natural movement of rivers. In many places we have learned this lesson too late and we are slowly removing dams. Unfortunately, this does not immediately reverse the damage done and nature struggles to return to its natural state. I hope for the people of the Una that your leaders understand this lesson and keep the waters of this unique river flowing free. This is a great film with an important message!

I was raised fishing the rivers in the USA. To me, rivers seem to be alive and always changing, which is different than a lake that seems to usually remain the same. People seem to be river people or lake people and many times are very different people. Being raised on the rivers, I have many fond memories and a special place in my heart for them. Hoping and praying for the very best for the Una and the river people who love her.

But, a year past end from what i can see, they want change nothing of what there doing. If us the people, want to have a better place to live for our children, we have to change our way of living and i couldnt agree more with the message on your teeshirt, live simply, that's the only way to take the time to appreciate the natural beauty of the nature around and realize the limit of the greedy exploitation have to stop. More, more, more, how much more do we need to be happy and how many unhappy do we left on the passage of « the progress ». Thank's for this beautiful documentary, you live in paradise.

Because of the accent I couldn't understand the Fish species they were talking about it sounded like Who Who to me but realized they were saying Huchen, which after some googling I realized is the Danube Salmon or Red Fish to some people. Before seeing this video I have never even heard of those fish. The huchen reaches about 1.5 m (4 ft 11 in) in length and more than 50 kg (110 lb) in weight.[8] The average length is between 60 to 120 centimetres (24 to 47 in). The huchen has a slender body that is nearly round in cross-section. On the reddish brown back are several dark patches in an X or crescent shape, but most distinctive feature is fishes head, which is larger than in other salmonides (longer and wider), with large elongated mouth. Smaller fish feed on the larvae of water insects or on insects dropped into the water; the larger individuals are predators of other species of fish and other small vertebrates. Now I understand completely why people why to save these Rare beauties ! Amazing video I loved every minute of it
