That is basically the same in Japanese, it's a complex language after all, and most of the time translating it is more art than science.

It is absolutely not, this is actually a famous moniker that sticks later on in the series and commands fear and respect and appears in chapter titles and such. It's a special, one-of-a-kind thing that doesn't get used for anyone else. Imagine being called "the mage" in a world where using magic isn't even uncommon lol. That's like a generic class name.

It's not japanese, but the language of the demi-humans. Which is the only language Makoto can speak in, at the time. He's living there, so i'm pretty sure he'll learn the language sooner or later Also, there's technically only 2 disciples. I doubt Makoto is considered a disciple through technicality, but that's what the survivors think Edit: i need to rethink how i worded this... Yeah, i know he understands the hyuman language, just that he has trouble actually speaking it. Its passable, just not... Good.

that annoying goddess didnt accept him as hero, but as soon she needs help to protect "her" humans, she drags him to a war, that he has no interest in. i hope that next time, when she tries something like that, he cancels her magic and insults her publicly.

@@Timmycoo blessing disguised as a curse. he can speak to anything, rocks, trees and etc except the human language. in the later volume the goddes would give him the ability to speak human language. so ya, he can speak to pretty much everything now like a god

So regarding the 3rd deciple- It was removed from season 1 I guess they will add it to season 2- Once damn bug (as Makoto loves to call her :D ) kicked Makoto out she picked 2 other Japanese people that met her standard and isekaid them as heroes into same world although without Tsukimichi blessing so as you can imagine they powers are not quite up there as his (he was supposed to be that OP hero). Regarding language- Makoto can speak any language as long as it is not hyuman one. Speaking of hyuman- a bit surprised they didn't clarified this, but Makoto is not technicaly hyuman. He is "higher level" that existed before- ningen. If I remember correctly goddess create hyuman and pretty much got rid of ningen (or they were dying out I don't remember exactly)

He is OP because he was doing that constant suicide thing while he was on Earth. Tsukuyomi's blessing was only the power where he can apply buffs and debuffs in a small area around him. His abundance of mana was his own hardship back there on Earth

What was cut from the anime that they'll probably recap in the second season, after the goddess banished Mikoto, she summoned two more (much less powerful) humans from earth to be heroes for two different hyuman nations. They were both (might have been just one) leading the charge in the warfront the Mikoto completely obliterated second hand. Edit: The story introduced the other heroes much sooner in the manga, and probably the books, too.

[spoiler] . . . . . . One of the summoned heroes is an acquaintance of Mikoto's (not the rejected confession girl) who respects Mikoto. Currently in the manga, she's met both Tomoe and Mio, but has yet to come face to face with Mikoto.

They tried to remove goddess's blessing but the goddess only gave him the ability to speak with demi-human of that world while the real blessing that truly enhance his strength came from Tsukuyomi. Also If you saw the PV for Season 2 there will be a rematch.

Something intense and scary things to think about now that this season is done. 1- The litch shiki, in order to make him a child/servent level through contract,(like how he made contracts with tomoe and mio) they suggested the litch should wear multiple dranir rings full of Makoto's mana on each finger beforehand. Otherwise shiki would have been completely devoured as just food due to insane power gap. . 2- MC does not truly grasp his own power level. In the previous episodes, when the mist barrier broke due to a explosion, alot of the impact was reduced thanks to tomoe's fragment. . So for this finale. Because Makoto did not quite understand his full power, he used multiple rings full of mana for a single attack, without realizing how overboard that was. lol

I had low expectations from this anime, but I was surprised how entertaining it is... Even with a low budget they managed to squeeze out epic moments, GG!

I don’t get, the anime constantly shows how much mana he has and says he’s comparable to the goddess but then he can’t kill these two that are weaker than Mio and Tomoe. Doesn’t make sense

Have you forgotten that everything that he's wearing is constantly draining his mana? So he's basically handicapped and not using everything that he has. Also Makoto doesn't really aim for the k*ll unless he is angry so there's another reason.

I remember thinking this anime was kind of mid when it released but man, the recent seasons have been really rough for isekai, by comparison I now rate moonlit fantasy a 6.5/10
