no this is just our humour or majority of us at least, that stereotype bs lame

Good question mate. This type comedy is to make fun of the stereotypes. It’s aware of the real life stereotypes and instead of taking it as something negative they make it something positive or satire

Agreed. While I thought the mother was like a mean former boss of mine, I found most of the humour mean-spirited even now. Ever had religious parents on your case? Not funny!

It's satire, it's taking the piss. The naked Samoans wrote and performed it.
@fletcherhamilton31773 жыл бұрын
@@ariadneschild8460 - isn’t satire supposed to be _somewhat_ sophisticated or cleverly subversive? _bro’town_ was just so, so ‘cringe’, even upon its debut. I remember the media billed it as _’South Park_ for Kiwis!’ during its pre-release promotion. Well, as those Tui Beer ads might have responded, _yeah right . . ._ 🍻 It’s weird ‘cos although the Naked Samoans’ _Sione's Wedding_ was far from a good movie, it was at least a technically and aesthetically competent ‘alright’ one, possibly even worth a look for aficionados of New Zealand cinema. So you’d think _bro’town_ could have achieved a similar degree of ‘quality’, but the actual product is about as funny and stylish as the odious nadirs of an outdoors long drop toilet . . . 🤷♂️
@ariadneschild84603 жыл бұрын
@@fletcherhamilton3177 your disappointment is palpable.
@alaricbragg78433 жыл бұрын
@@fletcherhamilton3177 Agreed. South Park may be vicious but at least it does not panda to stereotyping. Bro'Town kind of trivialized issues like emotionally abusive parents.
