I love your tutorials. The visuals of the chord patterns are very helpful, and telling people in the beginning where to skip to for certain sections is great. No matter what I do I can't seem to get that C chord. Your hands are small like mine so I know it should be possible so I'll keep practicing. Thanks to your earlier tutorials I have the G and D chords down pretty well without buzzing or flat sounds. Keep up the great work. You are so talented!

This was a really good tutorial. I am about 2 1/4 months into learning to play and didn't start playing chords until two weeks ago (spent almost 2 months with scales and some licks until my finger tips toughened up). Now I'm working on this song (2nd day)...as my first real song on the guitar (electric). My transitions are a bit slow so working on speeding them up. I have the strumming pattern down. But the C Chord is my nemesis......I know it will get better because the D Chord used to be my nemesis and I overcame that one :) But thanks for the great tutorial. It was very clear and well thought out!

Hi, welcome back. I’ve been your follower since before. All of me tutorial era ( 5yrs?) lol. Just want to share my sentiments, you have always been a good tutor since day 1 its very easy to follow and direct to the point, that’s why many of us learned songs to play. But I realize most of your recent videos are still for beginners. How about those people who learned from you and now on intermediate level and wants to take a next step ( fingerstyle/plucking). I know that this is for the beginners but I hope you won’t just ignore those people who wants to take new step and wanted you as our guide. It may sound demanding, but you are few people here who is very clear when teaching.

hi andy! not demanding at all! i completely understand your point of view. 🤗it's a little tricky because i'm trying to grow my channel and my audience, which means i'm trying to make tutorials for all levels. but you're totally right - most of my tutorials lately have been very beginner-friendly and that's because i realized i didn't have very many videos on my channel that had only open chords or only strumming patterns, etc. that's easy for brand new players so i wanted to build those playlists a little. but no worries! i've still got lots of more intricate songs coming with picking patterns and harder skills! they take a lot longer to edit but hopefully they'll be up soon! thanks for the feedback! 💗

D7 is easier to transition into, and absolutely essential to this song. The important technique to watch and learn here which beginners in particular won't notice is, as she's playing the strumming pattern, her arm is continually moving up and down at a steady tempo. So while the strum is down-down-up-up-up-down-up it's really down-x-down-up-x-up-down-up where you're still swinging but not strumming on x. This works for Pop, Rock, and Blues very well. To get accustomed to this, start by simply down-up-down-up-down-up continuously and you will get the hang of it.
