The middle top is a brilliant contour for pale skin...I don't know how I lived without it! (I never tried the orangy one as a blush but I will try it out right now lol! Omg tell me about getting highlighter under my eyes...of course I'm probably the same age as your grandma but it certainly does highlight everything you don't want showing. I think it's good that you get into a routine of watching out for that but I haven't seen a single fine line, or any other, anywhere on your face!

Hello! I noticed you got a new KVD palette. I've had mine for about 2.5 years and I feel like the formula is getting drier as it ages. Did you find the shadows felt different newer? I'm thinking about throwing out my old one and getting a new one, if there's a difference.

A tiny icon in the shape of a jar, at the back/bottom of a product, or at least on the carton, will indicate the “life” of a product once it’s opened. The tiny number on the tiny jar indicates for how many months the palette should be used. That is the time during which the palette shall be “fresh”, and the company sort of guarantees it will pose no health risk. Once that amount of time is over, the product is considered to be expired. From that point on, the regulations recommend throwing the product out. Of course, products don’t go bad overnight, and in almost all cases, the product will remain intact, and will not develop mould, thus posing no health risk. However, eyeshadows tend to dry after the expiry date indicated. They won’t be a risk to your health, you can still make them work, but they will start drying up. They will be less emollient, they won’t be grabbed by a brush as easily, and the shimmers may lose intensity. You can absolutely make it work by packing layers of the colours on top of one another. I still use my 3 year old UD Naked 3 - it’s become really dry and hard, but my sensitive eyes experience no discomfort of any sorts. I pat the mattes on, and then blend, instead of using swiping motions. Then I pack on the shimmers with a sponge tip applicator, but still, they’re not as intensely shimmery as they used to be. A “fresh” and an “expired” palette will have noticeable quality differences, but it doesn’t make an older palette completely unusable. We do, however, need to be more eco-conscious, and avoid contributing to landfill with thrown makeup. Try repurposing the old palette if you are pale, because then you can use the middle shade on the top row as a contour, and the peachy base shade on the top right side is a nice blusher that makes you look sunkissed. You can also try breaking up the shades you want, and mixing them with mixing medium to use them as liners. You can use some shades as brow powders to9. Basically, get as much use out of the palette as you possibly can, before throwing it away.

I personally use A LOT of KVD cuz I'm a weirdo that puts a bunch of colorful, clownlike bullshit on my face every day!
