I have had both blowers for 2 seasons now and I can tell you they are both great, reliable, powerful blowers. The BR700 is a beast for sure but the BR600 has a more "pointed" direct pattern of air coming out and is lighter (which helps when your cutting 20 yrds a day). This means you can blow across a driveway better with the 600 vs the 700. The 700 is awesome and will move much more air and has a much larger air pattern so it's great for blowing off large areas (large driveways, parking lots, etc.) The BR700 is great for making one pass on a sidewalk without fanning back and fourth as much. CONS: Both can be a little fin·ick·y when first started but once they warm up (even in 90º weather) and the fuel starts flowing, they run great. They both have DUEL Fuel filters which are little difficult to get out of the gas tank to change out. I'm anxious to purchase the BR800 (20% more power than BR700 and a easy hip start)
@Noahslawnequipment17 сағат бұрын
I prefer the 600 because it’s easier to blow off side-walks, drive-ways, patios, decks, and it’s lighter. For leaves the 800 would kill🔥

Remove the tapered nozzle off the end of the 600 and it should put out a lot more cfm in thick leaves.

Finally a great comparison video full of info on the machines, a side by side comparison and different conditions as well! AWESOME informative video! I was hesitant on buying the 600 off craigslist . But thanks to your video,, away I go! I try to find videos like this when researching things that come up on craigslist that I know nothing about,, and I never can find any video that would give me the feeling that I should or shouldn't buy that item! So,, I usually just pass and get frustrated!! But this is the first time I found an informative video that I was actually happy to be watching! GREAT JOB GUYS! And THANK YOU!!

I have the 700. I love it, gets the leaves to the street in 1 second, most powerful, etc. I do not agree with you on the 700 not being good with wet grass, the 700 has multiple tips that can be changed to accommodate the blower with the job that needs to be accomplished. I have the larger tip for blowing huge leaf piles and i use the small tip for cleaning up tiny wood chips from a chain saw that i cut tree limbs. So i would definitely spend the extra $50 and go with more power. The reason why Sthil made the tip on the BR 700 interchangeable was for that reason.

Let's go over the facts that will affect a business that is aiming to maximise profits. Cost (Cost is subtracted from revenue lowering profit) $500 vs $560 - BR600 wins (these are MSRP, used prices matter) Weight (weight bears on human efficiency negatively) BR 700 is 1.8lbs heavier and this is almost entirely in the part you carry in your right hand. BR600 wins Versatility (you are going to be working in many conditions, you would rather be proficient in many vs better in just one) BR700 sucks on wet leaves and wet grass, this is unacceptable. BR600 These are just a few of the things I have noticed and it all adds up to deciding the BR600 is better for a person trying to maximize profits. Keep in mind there are a million different comparison points you could look at but there are some that are more important that others. Never look so close at the data points that you are not blowing leaves when you could be blowing leaves. The thing I look at first when making these decisions are really 2-fold and rarely more than that: Which is going to cost me more out of pocket (money in your hand is worth a LOT more than potential money) , and is there are SIGNIFICANT improvement from me spending more money out of pocket. That's all you have to do for most decisions, then hurry up and buy the equipment, take care of it so you can sell it later if you need or want at a decent price, AND GET TO WORK EVERY DAY AND ON TIME. You do that and you will have it made.
@Stuff71645 жыл бұрын
"BR700 sucks on wet leaves and wet grass, this is unacceptable" ...exactly why I chose the BR 600 over the BR 700 yesterday. Too many shady spots (wet leaf piles) on my 1/3rd acre wooded lot (and I mean a wooded lot) to blow. Absolutely loving my BR 600! This was a personal use purchase for me by the way, as I'm not a landscaping professional. If you're a homeowner, and want to blast through your wooded lot during a cold, Appalachian Trail, fall season, and still make the Sunday afternoon football game, the BR 600 will get the job done nicely. It's worth every penny, especially if you can catch a Stihl sale on it (it's on sale right now for $469, down from $499).

Thanks for the comparative video and some real life tests. I wish you had a bit more testing on stuck-on materials and piles. I live in snow land. I can see that the 700 would blow a larger quantity of dry snow for clearing a driveway. But I wonder if the 600 may better clear slightly heavier or packed snow such as on sidewalks. Anyone out there with some observations on how deep of a snow layer these blowers will push and how high up a snow bank?

@BrownBrothersLawnCare6 жыл бұрын
Same, that would be kind of nice, but I feel like I would constantly be switching between tubes, and spending a lot of money on tubes.
@stevenpalafox18096 жыл бұрын
It wouldn't really matter. If you put a bigger nozzle on the 600 you wouldn't get 700 results. The 700 has a higher CFM which means it puts out more air. The 600 has a higher MPH which means it blows faster. Overall the 600 has more newtons. So what does that all mean? Basically the 700 is going to shine in the video where they are blowing nothing but dry leaves. If you often find yourself blowing twigs, a-corns, small rocks, or wet leaves then I think you'll want to go for the 600 over the 700. If you have a big lawn to cover and it's mostly just leaves then you'll want to get the 700.
