Awesome! That means your recoil spring is still in tip-top shape. By leaving it like that it will fatigue your gun much less. When it starts jamming some on light loads, you will know it’s time to configure it for light loads. Thanks for the comment!!

@southgasportsman20 Жыл бұрын
Thanks! I would not shoot steel through these Belgium guns. The barrels were not proofed for steel. So for lead, I would say up to 3 1/4 drams of powder is considered light. Any heavier would be considered a heavy load. If you put fresh springs on the gun, I always set for heavy loads and shoot all shells until I have problems. This will take stress off of the other working parts of the gun

@southgasportsman2011 ай бұрын
No problem! If you have been shooting 3” shells you would have to have a magnum Auto 5. From what I am told, it will cycle the 2.75” shells also but maybe not as efficiently as the 3”? Let me know how it does for you. The only method I know of for adjusting these guns is by swapping around the rings like I explained in this video. Thanks for the comment and keep that old girl shooting!

@southgasportsman20 Жыл бұрын
Pay more attention to the FPS in these. The 3 1/8 dr powder in these shells is normally 1 1/8 oz and 1300 FPS. I would call those heavy. The 1 oz 1165 FPS would be what I would call light in the 16 gauge.

@@jwatkins9520 I have never noticed anything but wood. You may just badly need to upgrade to a new recoil spring. Also, when you tighten down the foreend cap, loosen it one click and this helps with the slamming of the barrel as it fires
