Well done. Last year I picked up 4 of these cameras to use with our Browning Dark Ops HD Pro X cameras in the field. Last week I just ordered 6 more Dark Ops Apex cameras. The Dark Ops Apex is essentially the same camera with the same photo and video quality as the Dark Ops HD Pro X, but without the 1.5" viewing screen, but is $50 dollars less. These are, in my opinion based of my experience, a much better camera for my work in wildlife research then our Strike Force and Recon Force cameras because of the invisible no-glow LED emitters. The red-glow LED emitters of the Strike Force and Recon Force cameras often spook some species and/or cause them to react and to the red glowing LEDs. With the Dark Ops, Spec Ops and Patriot line of cameras, wildlife does not see the LED emitters, and therefore aren't spook and act naturally, which is important for wildlife research. The Dark Ops Apex is a very good all around performer, well built and very reliable. Also, when have as many as 20 or more cameras spread out across various research sites, the Dark Ops save a considerable amount of out funding, especially in Winter when using Lithium AAs, because of the fact they only use 6 rather then 8 AAs as our Recon, Spec Ops and Patriot cameras do, All my best Nick, and good luck with your new Browning Dark Ops Apex. SD cards have a nail nick, Nick. :) When you open a common pen knife you are using a nail nick. On an SD card, it's a thin groove along the bottom of the card. When you push to release the card and it drops slightly, use your thumbnail in the nail nick and pull it down. Very easy. Great review. I bought one from Cabela's after I watched your video on Tuesday. I was amazed at the quality of the photos and videos you showed. It was on sale for $112.99. I got it today and set it up and hung it over a deer carcass to check for coyote activity. Looking forward to pulling the card tomorrow. I had an old Moultrie that served me very well for years with great daylight and okay night photos. It finally stopped working and I inquired about a repair and of course they are not repairable. However, they offered me 50% off any of their cameras which I thought was admirable. I bought an A900i and while it is functional, image quality is fairly terrible. Thanks again for a great review.

just got the Dark opps, think i got a lemon. Did the test detection would go on when like 20 yards away no further during the day. Took it in my basement shut all lights off walked in front of it many times took maybe 2 pics. I had all the settings right. Am i doing something wrong? Thanks

That’s weird, I haven’t had that issue with my cameras. How long is your picture interval? If waits a couple of minutes between shots that could be why

Sometimes the nighttime videos are a couple of seconds long due to bad batteries
