I've always been a fan of brownstone from the beginning. Nicci even in older clips at the beginning of their career has always been "winded" and cracking sometimes. Yes she can sing, but she needs to work on staying in her range and pitch. Nicci is more of an alto/second soprano (on a good day). And what in the world happen to the one in the middle (the original)????? VERY PITCHY!! Still love them.

I have a theory that the poor food quality in usa messed up these voices. Early 90s everyone had crazy resonance and could hit any note with ease. By late 90s and 2000s same voices and newer voices struggled. I did learn that the fake food is weakening the voice and our bodies.

Mis knight and Miss LaBelle STAY in shape. Vocals were stellar. If you are winded, you cannot sing properly or stay in key. If you don't practice efficiently, your voice will suffer

@@ertfgghhhh I agree with that too. Now it pretty much doesn't matter what you eat in USA, everything has been compromised. Avoiding drugs etc definitely helps greatly. When lAttis voice start going off in her 60s. I personally blame the hormonal replacement therapy she used because she couldn't even think straight. Her voice suffered until late 60s and then started recovering with accuracy, power and clarity. Then old age really caught up. But I hear lots of mucus in the voice because some days her voice would have more range and power then it would go back to being very limited. I feel the same for Jennifer Holliday. Even after the surgery she still has massive power and clarity. Then like many other singer by 2000 onwards the resonance started to disappear and everything seems like a struggle to do. Although I'm a shower singer, when I leave USA my voice gets clear and powerful, I can reach any note in my range with ease. Also same when I'm on a fruitarian/vegetable diet.
