I'm a HUGE onion fan. I buy about 8 onions a week. Sweet onions, vidalia, Texas etc. There is nothing more mouth watering to me than a nice onion omlet to start off the day. An ice cold slide of onion on a bun with butter. Yes, a butter and onion sandwich. I've eaten them for 50 years since I was about 10. Onion soup....no croutons, no cheese, just good home made onion soup. I will eat a grilled cheese sandwich with it. Watching these video's makes me hungry! Remember, when someone dies they can say "they were a brain surgeon, they were a doctor, lawyer or even a congressman. They wouldn't have any of those guys (or gals) if it wasn't for the farmer.

Excellent job chronicling and sharing your activities. It may seem like it’s taking away time from farm-work or slowing down your family members and Sammy and Frank while they work - but it’s creating tremendous value. You show the real, and the hard, work that goes into what shows up on the store shelves. What you post is making a difference in every person’s lives after they start following your videos 🙏🏻 “It ain’t much but it’s honest work.” Apt and humble words

Are you able to drive the tractor and wagon to the rear of the barn that you store the garlic in? If so, maybe you could install a door back there and that would make far less carrying when you are bringing the garlic in

Garlic heads split when they are harvested late. Mg (magnesium) needed -yellowing or browning of leaves, stunted growth, and fruit that is small and has poor color.

Logan the white onions for storage should dry the skin for at least a day and not cut the stork of the onion till it dries before cutting off this reduces the onion from getting bacteria into the neck of the onion. If your picking to sell immediately that’s not an issue.

I'm surprised yall plant strawberries this early figured most people up there planted plug plants around late August it the first of September we don't plant till the last week of September here in East tn

Its kinda strange you had no problems with your high tunnel tomatoes last year .Now all of a sudden you have a deficient mineral or fertilizer problem .I believe you got some cross bred seeds that are producing the strange tomato color. Also, your Garlic was in the ground too long, thats why the cloves are separating. Next season get them out of the ground as soon as you see the lower leaves drying out.

Mg = Magnesium. Why aren't you picking the onions that have fallen over....those should be 1st. Remember, many people also like smaller onion and smaller/medium sized beets....large beets are often woody, hence people don't select those, and if canning its also awkward to stuff a jar.
@waynespringer501

You're a "farmer" and don't know the periodic table symbol for Magnesium? The Onions aren't going to store in the barn very well if you are cutting the tops off before they are cured.
