I followed you this entire season and it was an interesting journey. I am planning to have a smaller farm stand starting in the spring. I will be offering my fresh chicken eggs, veggie and herb starts, herb and salad hanging baskets, fresh cut sunflowers, and I will be growing and making organic loofa sponges and scrubbers. Anything I can that doesn't require a license or permit for now to see how it goes. Where I live is half rural and half vacation lake homes, I am surrounded by dozens of lakes. One of my neighbors used to have a small farm store but they retired 2 years ago and I am hoping to fill that need. I have already been selling farm fresh eggs and also live chicks that I am hatching out with the help of my broody hens. I really enjoy your content and watching your family work together towards a common goal. Wishing I hadn't binge-watched all your videos already to give me something to tie me over until the season comes back around. Keep up the good work and see you in the spring!

Your worker is fortunate. Pigs as well as cows too love pumpkins and they are excellent food source for them. The seeds in the pumpkins have a great beneficial enzyme that gets rid of and prevents worms. And this time of seasons cabbage is the best for sauerkraut because it’s had a frost that “sweetens the cabbage a bit and the moisture content is great for the fermentation process shredding it soon and packing it. 6 - 8 weeks later you have fantastic kraut. YUM!

there is good and bad in everything, BUT, when you go cheap just to save money, it will end up costing you more in the end. sometimes certain things NEED to be new when replacing them. or you can and will often end up spending more in the long run to fix or end up replacing parts and pieces or even the whole thing, because they dont work as they should. i know farming is expensive and you cant always replace things with brand new because of cost being so expensive. but sometimes, you just need to bite the bullet and buy brand new. it can be cheaper in the long run. your time and energy are worth something, monetary wise. you have to take into consideration all costs for the long run. if you need something replaced and its just a short time use, then by all means, save money where you can. but if you need to replace something for the long term, buy quality, not cheap and easy.
