I got a taste of actual infinite speed when I took the "Increase movement speed per obtained decree" after which I proceeded to run duviri for almost 3 hours and exhausted the decree pool. Would not recommend. Both for the effort and the results.

I've gotten close a few times. I can't imagine going all the way. Even where I've gotten I was tripping over small bumps and downing myself. Game lagging. Get on horse, get launched into the air riding upside down

You can also forma over transient fortitude, and use an unranked umbral vitality instead (can be purchased from simaris) to use no umbral forma.

The Nox enemy had attenuation way back, but they have the headshot mechanic. Not adding a way to deal with a regular enemy effectively is really a bummer. It feels so bad to not have agency because ‘this enemy must take this long to down’.

Love how when Broz said he was gonna test the Amanata with Volt's buff he rolled all buffs on it. XD It doesn't matter at all in this case, I know, but it was funny! Side note, if you want another survivability tool, cast Volt's 3 (shield), cast 1 through the shield (no target needed), then pick up the shield and proceed to do whatever you were doing. His shield will block frontal projectiles, and because you used his 1 on the shield, enemies that come into contact with your shield will be knocked down. Do you need this? Probable not. But just in case an enemy doesn't die from the slashing, Electricity, or Influence, you have a fun interaction that can potentially save you.

i swapped his 3 for roar and put augment on his 4 and use it to restore shields when they get brokem. Tho to be fair my build is literally this, with only problem i do not have aegis and i dont have mirage and eclipse

Because armor scaling was basically swapped for hp scaling on enemies, his 4 is way worse against especially grineer now, but you can definitely swap any other ability for terrify, go 167% str and you'll kill most things

nope, its not the most optimal in higher levels, but still has a lot uses you can nuke with it and terrify (althought there are much better and simpler nukes out there), you cna use it as survivability tool with its augment aaand in focus farming and lower levels it is still one of the best kill all tools we have in the entire game

His 4 is fantastic for every level. I see people say it's not good for grineer and higher levels, but I never had any problems. I also have negative strength and max range

His 4 is good crowd control and instant shield regen for you and team mates with augment I would personally remove he's shield if your going for a melee build.

​@@chrishoward4515If you're building for his 4 you might as well build the funny inaros sand kavats build because you can't subsume his 4 off for it anyway. My sand volt has 4 augment mods, it's definitely something. When they fix arcane camisado so it doesn't lag the host it'll be even better.

However I’ve been running lower strength and therefore lower electricity weighting and then pairing it with say heat viral or heat corrosive with 2 green shards. Is that more DPS than pure electric with the 400% cracked out shock trooper?

Arcane impetus work by giving you efficiency and strength on separate statuses so Voruna and Koumei are prime candidates as they can proc all statuses

I think you misunderstand how the arcane works. You receive extra strength per separate status type inflicted with abilities. Volt can at best inflict electricity with his 1, so he would trigger the buff once for very minor gain. Like the other guy said you'd want to play that on Citrine (with archon continuity) for 6 separate statuses or koumei for potentially 13 whole different statues.

For arcanes how does Arcane Barrier compare to Arcane Aegis?

Arcane Aegis is simply a better Barrier. They both trigger the same exact way, but Aegis effects are much stronger and much more reliable. Barrier at max rank has a 6% chance of triggering, instantly restoring your shields, but goes on a 6 second cooldown. Aegis on the other hand has a 3% activation chance and grants 30% *constant shield regen* for 12 seconds at max rank. This means that for 12 seconds your shields are constantly regenerating crazy fast regardless of how much damage you take. And it *doesn't* have a cooldown, meaning its very easy to proc it back to back to back. Barrier only instantly regens your shields one time and goes on a 6 second cooldown. You could stack both, but simply having a robotic companion with the shield charger mod will do the same exact thing as arcane Barrier.

Most long term players consider anything before steel path new player friendly. U can get through most if not all the star chart pretty easy to get to the those mods and energy nexus has a pretty good drop chance, if not just buy it for 5p or less

Volt's cool.... but i've been using frames I don't normally. Did Gyre Condition Overload build with Prisma Ohma and Ignis Wraith primer... must try! I couldn't get Voruna to do much though. I always test 25+ minutes in Circulus Conjunction survival.

Both my Volt builds have 'controversial' subsumes. I have a build that gets rid of shield, because it is not useful for running around. I have a build that gets rid of speed for 'camping', because it is less useful. Volt was the first frame that I discovered you cannot have the same subsume on two different slots. I would love to put nourish over speed and shield in two different builds. I'd never considered getting rid of Volt's 4, because I use it for survival. But seeing this I realized I could just replace it with a defensive subsume and save an augment. I dunno. I usually run with 2 augments. 4 for shields to the group, then either the speed damage aura for lower level missions where I just want to run through, or Shock Trooper when I want to kill stuff JUST SLIGHTLY faster with guns. P.S. I normally ignore polearms, because I spent...1000ish in-mission hours with them back in the old days of Parkour 2.0 (once we didn't need our melee to copter). It never occurred to me that their stance let you blender dudes while running. I think I'll make a build or two to take advantage of it again, since I'm always getting annoyed at having to try to weave in block combos and hold/release the forward key on other weapons JUST to try to get some more movement when I'm zooming through missions. THIS is why I watch Warframe videos. Getting a different perspective that doesn't just echo what I've already been doing for hundreds of hours.

We understand that you have a preference for builds whose primary method of survivability is EHP, since, at the levels it works at, you have to think and respond less to what's onscreen. But don't you think, before you go recommending players a double-Umbral plus Primed Redirection plus Helminth investment, on Volt of all frames... you should clarify that this build will not scale well? At least, for the sake of the newer and less-informed players who might end up having a different gameplay preference to you. It's at least worth mentioning that Volt is a perfect candidate for a shield-gating survivability setup, given his Speed ability (like Molt) has 0 casting time/animation, on top of his 4th ability augment which can give him and his entire squad perpetual shield-gating for a decent period. And also, a perfect opportunity to reiterate that shield-gating gives any character Revenant-esque infinitely scaling survivability, with the caveat that you have to have a good energy economy, and are attent enough to react to a 1.3ish second screen spash effect and not walk near Toxin eximus.

Nah nobody really wants to play annoying shield gating builds if they don't have to and would rather just have fun in normal path or sub 1000 SP. If you're going to level cap for some reason the economical choice is to pick a frame who is better at it instead.

@@Brozime Octavia's low playrates despite automating 90% of the game should be proof enough that less active/lower actions-per-minute playstyles are not what's most appealing to everyone. Calling shield-gating annoying is just an expression of your preference and it is quite rude to make such a sweeping generalisation. You seem in-touch enough with the community that you should know about the large subset that enjoys them and i don't understand what the play is by antagonizing them or pretending they don't exist. To me, knowing my build can go for AS LONG as i want to, gives me a sense of security. I also find it far MORE annoying for a build to fail on me and start dying after a certain amount of time, like the necessity to leave is being decided for me. The higher actions-per-minute and more responsive gameplay also makes playing the game feel like less of a chore and i've found to reduce burnout, compared to just throwing on Revenant and calling it a day. It's truly a matter of preference. Notice how i didn't ask you to change your build- just to disclaim that this is a considerable investment on a frame that isn't going to get much out of it, or at the least, isn't tilted towards this style of gameplay.
