Je suis ému..Je ne découvre pas les mots pour décrire ce que je ressens en écoutant cette merveilleuse interprétation...

The past twelve months have been bitter ones for BRSO: losing their beloved conductor and shortly thereafter, having to cope with a virus that made it incredibly difficult to make music at all. I bless the dogged spirit with which the orchestra has found or invented ways to perform -- whether it's through the "Watch This Space" series at the site of the new concert hall or literally bringing musical greetings through the streets to play for one of their long-time supporters. Thank you BRSO for your passionate determination to keep the music playing in the face of cruel disappointment. Mariss would be proud.

Émouvante version pour les cordes douces, envoûtantes et déchirantes de l'orchestre. Très bel hommage.

Very nice but the violas are the section that you hear in their important moments but usually don't see on the video

What a wonderful and moving idea - to commemorate a beloved conductor with one of the saddest pieces ever composed! (Although I must admit that I prefer the original version for string quartet.)
