I would love a more in depth video on this. Discussing what extremes would cause yield dilution or what factors if not properly managed. High PPFD without proper CO2 and nutrition would cause this one would assume. But would that still hold true if all metrics were in cadence with one another. And furthermore at what point would that be null and void. Assuming everything would have an upper limit as some point. Great topic, hope he is willing to dive deeper into this.

Yeah he left us hangin big time . It could be as simple as not over fertilizing.

So would having more tops(smaller buds) increase cannibinoids vs larger colas?
@JakeCannabisco7 ай бұрын
Yes apical dominance - your getting more goodness more mobile. Same goes with mainline vs traditional . It also creates a low SAR ISR response.

A plant that is stressed too much in week 7 will start throwing nanners... those nanner structures add a TON of non-cannabinoid weight to your flower! Perfect for growers who optimize for weight and well nothing else. Don't wait too long to harvest or you'll get harsh smoke. I did this a couple times a few grows ago but no longer, now I just ramp down nutes and lights the last 10 days when trichs are all cloudy. So you want weight do ya?, funny how I got wink wink nudge nudge from a couple growers who said I'd be surprised at the results of starving the plant for 3 days at the start of week 7. Now you know.... to ignore it lol 🙏

Question, how does one differ between genetic differences and actual yield dilution? If I take two cuttings of the same cultivar and grown one HUGE, lots of topping, little defoliation. Then grow the other one with little topping, no training and lots of defoliation, will it yield more cannabinoids? Or is this more aimed at genetics, the bigger plants that yield more through genetics traits are going to naturally produce less cannabinoids? The opposite for smaller plants? I feel like its both, seeing your graphs shows that this yield dilution can be controlled, but I know genetics play a key role as well. I would imagine you'd want a cultivar with genetic traits prone to high cannabinoids then try and dial it in as best you can on the yield dilution? Sorry for the stoned ramblings...lol
