@The Fantom Convoy you do realise naruto, one piece and dbz all become blown up animes and most commonly known due to its outer Asia audience right? Dbz set the path to other counties to invite other animes which naruto and one piece joined. And like said, if the majority of these countries had the Bruce falconer as their ost and it was kuch perfered its an easy Victor, even look at the comments, more are in favour of Bruce then OST, which is right, you can have your own opinion which is okay, which most people who grew up on the Japanese tracks will most likely perfer due to its nostalgia, but overall its a given the tracks were more cartoonish and given it would of survived well in most European and white countries due to its weak instrumentals, same goes to the vocals on the characters

It's a damn shame that Bruce basically took all the credit. It wasn't just him, it was a whole team of composers. Mike Smith, Scott Morgan, and Julius Dobos were the *main* composers for DBZ. According to Morgan, Bruce only did around "eight percent" of the music done. Morgan mainly did the guitar work, Smith did most of the writing and arrangements, and Dobos worked heavily on the Buu sagas. The three are technically a band now called SSJ (Smith, Scott, and Julius XD)

I loved both soundtracks. It wasn't Falconer's fault the editors/producers spammed the music without any silent spaces like the original series. I think that hurt the dub more than anything--you need that audio "negative space" if you will. Not every scene needs BGM, you gotta let some things breathe.
@RonnieJamesDeodorant3 жыл бұрын
true, i think they could have calmed down a bit, but I noticed the Ocean dub had that same issue too. It's weird because I don't remember that being a major problem with other shows besides DBZ.

I'm watching the funi run of dbz again as we speak and honestly I don't even notice the lack of silence at all. Many times the score is incredibly quiet in the background for that purpose, and I find that the choice of songs in the score is absolutely fantastic. I really don't see how it's noticeable or distracting for some, though I am a big prog music buff so it doesn't bother me to have constant sounds.
