+DarkLight753 I was wondering when they show movies in theaters in England and they are already in American English, like Disney for example, do they redub them into British?
@DarkLight7538 жыл бұрын
Laura Kruk Lol, no there's no dubbing for movies in Britain. We get exactly the same as you. There's not a huge amount of difference between American English and British English. Just the way some words are said. Like in the US, for tomato you say To-may-toe but we say To-mah-to. For some US documentaries that are shown in the UK the original narrator is replaced by a British voice. Deadliest Catch is one such example

No, you're right. There's at least one episode on KZbin from 1980 (first series, with single contestants and Brucie with a handheld mic) where Brucie goes into the audience and got two people to play a quick question worth a tenner before the credits rolled.

If you're going to 'give someone some stick' it means you're going to criticise them (often to their face) or talk to them in a disiplinary (however you spell it) way. It's generally done after they've done something that personally offends you.
@mbvideoselection4 жыл бұрын
Stick is another word for Twist, ie. don't gamble at this point.
@funnywomen28164 жыл бұрын
@@mbvideoselection You got that mixed up, they're the complete opposite of each other. Twist is like saying hit - i.e. take another card. Stick is like stand - i.e. stop dealing.
