After he won the Olympics he decided to try to become a TV star and it worked but it tarnished his reputation. True fans will always remember him for being one of the best track athletes ever, he won a gold medal and broke the world record for the Olympic decathlon. He became a national Icon after that and won so many awards and was even inducted into the Olympic Hall of Fame. BUT... most of the world will remember him as that weird looking dad on the Kardashian show..... *sigh*

Do you think it was simple to tell your parents at a young age that you feel like a girl? and mostly in those times when people didn't understand it yet. Then as a young man he ran fast, did well in school, and he had to keep pretending to be a what everyone saw. So, yes he continued as a man always thinking deep down that it was wrong, but how could he suddenly as an adult say, "I'm gonna be a woman now" when he was in the spotlight he couldn't do it, when he found the woman he loved, he couldn't do it, when he had children, he definately couldn't do it, but now that it is more acceptable, and his children are grown up, and he grew apart from his wife, yeah this was the time to do it, why else? He had the money to, the means to, and he didn't want to die before doing what he has wanted to for a long time.
