Is there another game nearly identical to this one?

I thought the same thing when watching this video (never played the game, only heard about it today). It's certainly noteworthy how good it is. Soft, not at all irritating. So many games have sound effects which are too loud or harsh, which is especially bad when they are frequently played sounds. They really nailed the footsteps in this game.

The Persian gulf on the Amiga had some great footstep sounds

Can't believe it's actually 34 years ago since I last played this game and my god I played it alot 😂 thanks for the memories! Awesome.

Sadly It's at least 30 years ago of all our retro classic games, shocking :-(
@MarioSpiteri4 жыл бұрын
If I remember well, you can skip many sections of the game by going near walls and pressing down. Like in the 3rd screen. You can go to the bottom far right of the screen and press down. The game will take you to the next screen.

Thank you for posting this longplay. I had this game on my own CPC464 at the time, and it was, along with Sorcery and Saboteur, one of the very first games I managed to "finish", despite that dreaded "four floors of jumping hell" level. Of course, there's still the FALLS 99 trick to help a bit... Weird but funny thing in this game: seeing sometimes the ninja and the sumo quarelling :)

Dude, I googled this game due to a random reddit comment and here I am, wallowing in nostalgia:D I also had this on cpc464, I had the green monitor as well. I am remembering sleepless nights and those footsteps now lol Saboteurs were also great games. It's funny, with a relatively niche old machine such as cpc, I think everyone had every game made for it and the best ones slowly crawled their way to the top of people's personal playlists:)

Brilliant. I like the little pause the NPCs have before chasing the player. Like their trying to find out where he is... Nice detail and very natural despite the elementary look.

It's a classic across all the formats, I enjoyed playing all these versions which are up on my channel.

Lol, I remember I played this 25 years ago or so. I can remember the first room with this white figure. I think I made it to the waterfalls 1 or 2 times or so... good old memories... :-)

there is a bug in this game that lets you skip most of the game :-) in the screen at 1:24 if you go on the bottom right corner and press down (crouch) then you get through that wall and end up at the screen at 7:12 ;-) I now for a fact that this bug exists in the Amstrad version because I found it by accident back in the 80's, also I tested it in an emulator and it works there too. but I'm not sure if it works with other versions of this game...
@ZEUSDAZ7 жыл бұрын

Practically identical to the C64 version in graphics, but I don't think the combat is quite as good on this version. The Green Yamo runs much more slowly here too; too many pies methinks ;)
@ZEUSDAZ9 жыл бұрын
These 3 versions are almost exactly the same, almost ports you coul argue,...C64, Amstrad & Atari 800xl, the only version which really differs is the spectrum version, which is the version I prefer.

How did you record this from a real Amstrad?
@ZEUSDAZ7 жыл бұрын
Scart lead, plugs into the back of the 464 / 6128 with the jack lead plugged into the earphone socket of the cpc, the scart lead then plugs into my hdd/dvd recorder. You can get them from either Retrocomputershack.com or coolnovelties.com, both stores on ebay.

@ZEUSDAZ5 жыл бұрын
Full game, as in start to finish line, you don't need to do every screen to finish the game such as my current WR Speedrun record on the ZX version where not all screens are needed.
