Prodigal Son was also Chu Shong Tins favourite Wing Chun movie. We managed to arrange a special screening of it on one of his visits to Adelaide in the 80’s. Most of the students from our school went to watch it . Great movie and quite inspirational.

@The Kung Fu Genius Mr. Peterson aged well. Could you please say hi to him from me? I go by the name Aaron, I'm the Taiwanese student who used to be in his Chinese class. God, I miss the old days, really had so much respect for him. #万万万万, 几个零是一万?# Show him this, he'll remember his old conversation with me, hahaha. Great ep. Btw i was wondering, bcoz i have wanted to ask you this earlier. Do you feel, comfrontable to talk about, why Hong Kong ppl, do not like Jackie chan and Donnie yen. And how are they viewing this trend, where multiple of formerly loved celebrities, basically throw HK under the bus, when it becomes more convient for them to do so. Im sorry i know this is sensitive subject, especially if one is constantly travelling to HK. I understand if you dont want to talk about it, in public sphere. God bless.

"The old stuff was better, the actors could do stuff that modern actors can't". Have you seen Scott Adkins, Jason Statham, Donnie Yen, Jet Li, Tony Jaa, Michael Jai White, Siu Wong Fan, Iko Uwais, Yayan Ruhian etc. The standard of fighting is so much higher than the old films not using wires and longer uncut scenes. I love drunken master etc, but todays stars and action scenes are so much better.
@TheKungFuGenius3 жыл бұрын
Not a single actor you listed could make Police Story or Dragons Forever.
@credibility633 жыл бұрын
@@TheKungFuGenius That's like saying no one could make a Buster Keaton movie. No one would try to. These films were great but styles change. You see flashes of them in modern films. Ong Bak being chased through the streets of Bangkok for example. You can see shades of the old school in the transporter fight scenes. Blood and Bone? No one would try to make the old school style films anymore because cinema has moved on. That doesn't deminish them, but times move on. I'm nearly sixty years old and have been a martial artist since my teens. I grew up watching the many Bruces, Jackie, Sammo and Yuen Biao.
